Hello, I found out back in nov that I have hpv, i had the leep procedure done right before x-mas of last year and now I have to go in april for my pap, my adnormal areas came back as precancerous cells thats why they did the leep, and it also came back high risk for hpv, this is before the leep, after they did the leep it came back stages 1-2 which when before they did the leep it was stages 2-3, I would like to hear from anyone who has this or has been through this, I am still very upset about the whole thing and still I don't understand everything either about the virus and adnormal areas. Please anyone who went through this or nows of it please write me. Thank you

Hello my name is K..I've been going through the same thing you are for the past 4 years.I've had the leep and the biospy which hurts but they said it was nessacary.I've had 3 surgeries on my cervical bone and now I will never be able to have another baby. They even put me through the shots the depo and I can't remember the other one sorry but they don't help.I use to be scared all the time and they seemed like they were dragging their feet but in time you'll realize they do so they don't do anything to you inless you absolutely need it done. It's been 4 years and my last pap about 4 months ago finally came back clean.Be patience and don't worry they tried to tell me my only way out was to have a hystercomy and I wouldn't do it and now I'm finally clean.I just pray for you that you don't have to have so many prodcures to have it be gone.I will pray for you but don't let it scare you it will go away.Best of luck K.

I was just reading all of the responses to this and I it worries me. Just today my husband told me one of my neighbors has cancer this will be number 3. About a year ago I started working from home promoting a wellness company they sell safer products for the home. I had been looking to work from home for a while and when I was given the opportunity to promote a wellnes company it just made sense. After reading this I had to tell everyone that the products we are using to clean our houses are not good for us. Bleach is a registered pesticide.
My company has almost 400 products including EcoSense. Using powerful ingredients from nature instead of toxic chemicals, They developed a line of cleaners that are amazingly effective, safer for your home, better for the environment and more cost effective then walmart or the grocery store. I would love to share this amazing company with everyone. I have personally seen what these products can do. My daughter Asthsma is gone, my four kids have not been to the doctor. Also, we are taking vitamins and supplements to boost our immune system....

I don't have HPV but I do know that if you are, go get that cervical cancer vaccine ASAP!!!! It may save your life. Since you have had an abnormal PAP, your insurance (assuming you have some) will cover the $166 dollar shot. I tried to get the vaccine just because I am a hypochondriac but i am past 27 yrs old so they won't do the vaccine UNLESS you have an abnormal PAP. Good luck!!!

I found out that I had HPV after I had my follow up pap after I had my son. I went threw everything and the leap procedure. My levels came back very low from what the doctor told me. My doctor told me its nothing to worry about and I just have to make sure that I get my paps done when I am suppose to. Look up on internet about the HPV Viruse and you will learn a lot about it, but dont be scared there are several different versions of it. Good luck

Hello, when I was 19 and pregnet I was told I had HPV. I had a procedure done, to ride the syptoms I had soon after my son was born. I am now 32. Between haveing the proceedure done and me turning 30 I had no problems or signs of it. I was told that normally your ammune system takes care of it, but while I was pregnet my ammune system was impared. 2 years ago I had an abnormorl PAP test though. I also had signs of pre cancer cells. My doctore wanted to just remove the cells. I however was haveing problems with getting ovaran cysts, and had my tubes tied since I was 21. I optted for a hystrectomy. My doctor did however say that just haveing the cells removed would be safe as well. I would suggest haveing a long talk with you doctor about your fears. My e-mail address and screen name I normally use is ____@____.com If you ever want to chat please feel free to contact me. I do know how scary this can be.My thought sand prayers will be with you.

What shot are you going for? If you already tested positive for HPV, they cannot give you the Gardisil Vaccine. It will not get rid of it for you. I just don't want you going to the doctors thinking that a shot will get rid of HPV, that is truely not the case.

i know what your going through. i've had the leep done, and all of that great stuff. Not fun, but i was able to have 2 healthy pregnancy's after finding out i had HPV. even after i had the leep done, i still had abnormal pap's but they started being normal before i got pregnant with my son in 2002. it sucks being a woman, and men are only carrier's of the virus, which also sucks. i have to have pap's done every 3 months, i've had to do that for almost 10 years. cancer runs in my family, so they just want to make sure nothing pops up. i never had any symptoms of HPV, i guess i was lucky becuz i've heard that it can be painful and gross. i dont even know where i got it, or when. it will get better, it may take time, but it will. and while i don't agree with some states making the vaccine mandatory for girls to have, i think it's great that it's available so our girls won't have to go through the same things we did, and my daughter will get it, if it's still available. good luck with everything, and hang in there :)
