Anyone Have Any Suggestions RE: the Best Mortgage Company
Since we recently moved here to Mason, we are now starting our house hunt. We have a Realtor but was wandering if anyone has had a good experience with their mortgage company. It seems like there aren't the same ones here that we have used in the past and I can't seem to find a whole lot of good advice online. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi K.!
Glad you made it here to Mason area.
I know several loan officers. There is a lady in my office that gets all kinds of great reviews. Her name is Lori Schleaheck (I might have spelled her last name wrong but it's pronounced "sha - lay-heck")
You can reach her at my office number ###-###-####.
If you're not working with a Realtor, I'd love to show you around.
(Lori can help you no matter who your Realtor is)
Good luck and welcome!

If you have a down payment it's best to go to a local bank, get a fixed rate loan with no points. Or check for a FHA loan, these would have the best rates.
Good luck!

I worked for a builder for over 10 years and part of my job was to work w/our customers and their mortgage companies. Over the years I worked w/countless mortgage companies and taking into account that in these economic times you have to be really careful who you pick (I would stay away from small mortgage companies or brokerage firms), I would highly recommend Wells Fargo. You can locate one of their offices or a loan officer through their website: www.wellsfargo.com. They are one of the most financially sound mortgage companies at this point. They don't sell their mortgages and they offer excellent customer service and many, many other products.

I also recommend Wells Fargo. We have a 30 yr fixed through them and I haven't had any issues. Also, I have heard that if you get some sort of credit card some of your interest goes towards your mortgage...but I don't have it so don't know the details...but could be worth finding more out. Good luck! Perfect time to buy...especially in Mason!

We have used Union Savings Bank for quite a while and have been pleased. Our branch is located at Harper's Point in Symmes.

Good Morning K.. When you say mortgage company. Do you want a bank or a mortgage broker? A mortgage broker can work with you one one one and give you different choices of bank (in case you weren't sure). I know of a guy. His name is Alan Wirgau. He is great with his clients and very attentive. He'll come to your home and discuss your options, etc. His cell phone ####-###-####.
Good Luck in your house hunt!! What an exciting time!
