Anyone Have a Chevrolet Traverse?

My husband and I were talking the other day about us having to get a new vehicle this year sometime. We would love to have a Tahoe or something like it but due to the cost of them and due to the cost of gas these types of vehicles are not an option. My husband is suggesting a minivan since we have two small kids and we could use the room and they are good on gas mileage. However, while I see that minivans are great in those regards, I personally don't want a minivan. Although, I am thinking about them. I just never thought of driving one. But it's getting to the point of necessity instead of wants. I came across the Chevy Traverses and from what I can tell, they look nice, have the seating that I'm looking for and the room and it doesn't scream "minivan" at me due to it not looking like one especially because it doesn't have the sliding doors. If you have a Traverse, do you like it? What are the pros and cons about it? How do they ride, etc.....How's the gas mileage. I think I read somewhere it was 29 miles to the gallon. Which isn't bad I guess. We are still doing some research and aren't exactly ready to get something but I'm curious about the Traverses. Thank you all!

What can I do next?

I build the Chevy Traverse. They are the hottest crossover (besides the Buick Enclave). I've never heard one negative thing about it. And I will tell ya, they are built with pride. I don't own one tho, just make them. But, if I could afford one (being a single mom sucks sometimes lol), I'd definately either get the Traverse or the Acadia!

I have a Chevy Traverse (we have had it almost a year now). I really like, there is quite a bit of room. I normally have my third row seating folded down (since I only have 2 girls and both are in car seats in the second row) But there is enough room in the back when the seat is up to fit my stroller. I get about 15 miles gas mileage on average, but I do mostly city street driving (lots of stop and go).

We test drove the Traverse and the GMC Acadia. We went with the Acadia and I LOVE it!!! The second row has captain's chairs, so it's easy for my oldest to get to the 3rd row. We actually traded our Volvo XC90 for the Acadia and I actually like the Acadia better. Happy Shopping:)

We test drove the Traverse and it felt very mini-van to me. We actually went with the GMC Acadia instead and LOVE it. They are worth a look. :)

I also test drove a mini van, Acadia, and Traverse. I liked the look of the Traverse from the outside better, but I ended up with the Acadia because I liked the interior. Otherwise they are pretty much the same. I love it!

I have a Traverse. I moved out of a mini-van and into the Traverse because I determined I was "far too cool" to drive a mini-van. Mine is the 8-passenger and I love it. It doesn't feel like driving a mini-van at all (however, the 7-passenger - with the 2-seats in the 2nd row did look a little more like the interior of my mini-van).

As far as drive and reliability - it's awesome. I also test drove the Acadia and the Enclave. I didn't like the "wood grain" in the Enclave. The Acadia is the same vehicle on the inside as the Traverse - body style was a little different (bubblier). I opted to go with the Traverse because the Acadia was slightly more expensive than the Traverse.
