Anyone Had a Pregnancy Confirmed Just a Few Days After Concieving??

We still have to do another HCG level this weekend to confirm that it's still going up properly, but they have already confirmed the pregnancy after checking my levels twice. My first test was a 6 and the 2nd a 75. They said that I was probably only 4 days along at the first test (9 @ 2nd). The crazy thing is that I went in cause I have a bump, can't zip my jeans, and thought I felt a baby moving (this would be my 3rd live birth).

Just a little background...I had a miscarriage in July after which they put me on BC and requested that I stay on that till May. In January I bled for 3wks. I thought it was a miscarriage since I was bloated and felt pregnant. They said that it was probably just cause of the BC and switched me to a new pill. Well, although the bleeding stopped, the symptoms continued and so I stopped BC. They now think that that may have possibly been a miscarriage and that I got pregnant again after stopping the BC. My stomach never went down inbetween. I have already been getting looks at my belly from my mom and kids. I'm trying to hide it cause I don't want to tell people and then miscarry again, but I don't know how much longer I can hide it. Has anyone else gone through anything like this??

What can I do next?

I worked in a hospital lab when I got pregnant with my first son. So, when I was trying to get pregnant I drew my blood everyday and on about the 7th day my HCG started going up, it was 19. HCG is not a good determinant of length of pregnancy, pretty inaccurate. But as long as it keeps going up during the 1st trimester, everything's fine. An ultrasound would be the best way to determine how far along you are. Good luck!

I had a miscarriage in between my first and my second child and I had just got off of the bc and got pregnant right away. I was about 4 weeks along and I bled really bad and then I went to the bathroom one day and I felt like I passed a blood clot but come to find out it was the baby. I wasn't emotionally attached yet so that was good for me. I went to the doctor shortly after that and they drew blood weekly to make sure my HCG levels went back down to zero. She specifically told me not to have sex until I got two regular periods but of course my husband thought otherwise. So about the 4th week of the visit my HCG levels went back up and the doctor was upset because she thought i had had sex. The 5th week I went back and my levels were at about 1200 so she said I was pregnant.

They monitored me all throughout my pregnancy, I had ultrasounds quite often during the first trimester and I progressed regularly. It was a really confusing time because I wasn't sure that I was pregnant until we started looking at ultrasounds and checking for heart beats. The time frame they had for my delivery was very accurate because they had monitored me from early on.

What I would suggest is for you to get the vaginal ultrasound, that should determine if you are pregnant and at what stage. It can be nerve wrecking because you don't know what to think right now but the doctors should be a lot more proactive about checking to see if you are pregnant or not and giving ultrasounds to make sure that there aren't any remnants from the previous pregnancy. Also, what the doctor did was put me on Progesteron (i think that's how you spell it) to make sure I wouldn't miscarry again. You should check and see if that's an option for you as well. I wish you well and hope all is well with you.

The ONLY thing I know is that you can't feel a days-old embryo move. They don't move, they aren't even formed yet. Whatever you felt, it wasn't a baby unless you are more pregnant that you realize.
But yes, I know quite a few women who with 2nd or 3rd pregnancies, couldn't fit in their pants from the time they took a +PT

I haven't had a blood test that early, but I was in maternity pants before I even missed my period with my 3rd baby. Good luck!

I had a positive home test just 3 days after contraception this timeline was confirmed at a 5 wk internal ultrasound.

I also was showing early (no movement tho at that stage tho) but went on to have an almost 10pound baby early.

Good luck
