Anyone Figured Out How to Loose the Post Pregnancy Bellyfat?

I have 3 kids, and my last 2 were c-sections 13 months apart. I have that droopy belly fat I can't seem to get rid of. I know it can be done, I just don't know how. I got a tredmill about 3-4 weeks ago, and try to go 3 miles everyday. It helps very little, and sit ups are a stuggle with a broken toe. Any suggestions? Modified diet? Diet pills? I need to lose as much of the weight as I can for a wedding in June. Has anything worked? What should I try? I have even considered surgery, but they want a lot of the weight gone first and it costs a lot. I need some suggestions! I thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

The belly is our badge of honor. Too bad the pop culture world is so demeaning of it. I'm constantly self-critical of my c-section overhang. I know that the healthiest thing is to get over the self-esteem issue, but...

I did get rid of more of it the first summer after my January baby. He developed severe food allergies so in order to breastfeed I cut out all dairy, soy, wheat and eggs (plus a handful of other things). The dairy and the wheat were the biggies. I also did strollerfit, so between the aerobic exercise and the many MANY crunches we did, the belly actually shrank.

Don't use your toes to do situps. Try pilates-like situps, or yoga. They are gentler on your back and neck and they strengthen the core better. Do at least 100 a day. These are small crunches with minimal movement and optimal strength.

Now I just need to head my own advice and get back into the routine because the same belly has returned!

I've had 2 c-sections as well as a vbac. I find that restrengthening the muscles helps. I do the 8 Minute Abs workout, when I can. And of course all the usual cutting out the bad foods (ha, not right now though) and cardio, but i find the workout to be my biggest help.

I don't know the answer to your question, but when you find out can you let me know:) I've had three c-sects and have the same problem, minus the broken toe:)

I second weight watchers online. I dont do the meetings , just use the points plan online. Its fabulous. I lost all the baby weight (45 lbs) and then some in 5 months. I started last February and had a wedding in June as a goal. I didnt work out much, other than chasing my toddler around, and I lost an average of 2 lbs a week. It really forces you to be accountable for everything that goes in your mouth, for me I didnt really realize how many bites of my daughters mac and cheese leftovers I was eating before I had to keep track of everything! And other than loosing the weight I have become a much healthier eater because of it and so has the rest of my family. As for the skin issue, well that I think takes serious devotion. I'd definitely try a pilates class, if you havent done it before the videos can be really hard to figure out the right way. I dont have the time or energy to care about my "squishy belly" as my daughter calls it, but it can be done with a lot of hard work. Oh and when I was trying to loose the weight for the wedding, I bought my dress 2 sizes smaller for inspiration. I tried it on every few weeks and everytime it fit better and better. It was a huge incentive.
Good luck!

J.,

I used Weight Watchers and I love it. I use the online version because my schedule doesn't give me time for meetings and so I just weigh myself weekly and log it online. I also like it because I don't feel like I'm dieting versus eating healthier. I've lost my baby weight and some and now I'm starting to work out and tone up! GOOD LUCK!

I had two c-sections also, 20 months apart. One with a twins pregnancy that stretched my stomach so much!! I have lost weight recently (20lbs in about 6 mos) walking 2 1/2 -3 miles 2-3x/week and just not eating as much as I used to. I do drink more milk than I used to (1%) Now I have this saggy skin hanging where the fat used to be :(

I have had 4 c-sections and know what you mean. One thing that has helped me for losing weight and that I am still doing now is something called the idiot proof diet. Look on www.weightloss4idiots.com I just had another c-section about 3 months ago so I am still in the process of losing the belly fat. I hope some it will all be gone. good Luck.
