Anyone Else Glad to See Kate Go?

I watched the show last night, only the second time I've watched since Jon left. She is such a horrible person. I would not have lasted 3 days on that trip! I couldn't believe she was whitewater rafting and insisting on not getting wet! Wouldn't even sit on the seat until the sun dried it. What an idiot!!!

I think the kids are SO adorable and I will really really miss watching them grow. No I dont like Kate, I feel John was determined to stay with his family for his kids sake but she pushed him out. He was the one who played with them, bathed them, dressed them, when they were little while she scrubbed the floors and dusted twice a day. Poor Kate, without her own show, how will she afford fake tans, fake boobs, manicures, pedicures, designer clothes, nannies and oh yea food.

She would wash the kitchen floor 3 times a day on her hands and knees. Then she couldn't understand why she didn't like any of the housekeepers she would try out. She was/is out of control. I really feel that she forced him out. Jon tried, he did. But who could live with that monster. And before I get any grief - he made MANY mistakes, too.

She's claiming that she is not going to be able to support the kids on a nurses salary. I wonder what she will do (or wouldn't do) for money.

And she can't dance!! :)

I really loved the first few seasons, when it was about a large *family* doing day to day things. Yes she was short with Jon, but we also saw that there was love .

Then she turned into the most ABSURD woman I've ever seen! I mean, how the hell do you plan to go rafting and not get WET??!?! Her own BFF stated that she's changed and thinks she's like Angelina Jolie.

I feel bad for her. NO ONE wants to be around her demanding, demeaning, arrogant, entitled attitude anymore and she's going to end up a VERY lonely woman when those kids move out.

So yes, I'm glad to see her go......but I have a feeling she's not gone forever (unfortunately).

I can't believe that show even lasted this long.

Now if only Toddlers & Tiaras would get the ax. Sadly, though, that show isn't going anywhere, because it has the train wreck factor... and I'm really sad to say that I've even succombed to it a time or two... if I pass by that show when channel surfing, I almost HAVE to stop, if only for a minute or two, to take in the horror. Seriously, those people need their heads examined, and that is the understatement of the year. Sorry if I'm offending any pageant goers, but I seriously despise that show. And pageants. And yes, I've had some nearly firsthand experience with them, so I'm not talking out my arse here... I. Hate. Pageants.

The funniest thing I saw on Talk Soup was an interview of John and Kate with Kate completely berating and b***ching at John. The next photo was a cropped image of John windsurfing with a fake magazine title - John Minus 9. That was a couple years before they got divorced. I am far from perfect, but I'd probably divorce her, too.

Glad to see her go. Nope, don't care for her. She got rich because of her kids, her marriage suffered because of that show, and now she thinks she's too good to work & those kids have no clue what "normal" is. It seems to be that she's been sucked into the celebrity lifestyle & probably has her priorities seriously skewed. Why America continues to find people like this interesting is beyond me.

Were we every happy to see her period???? Talk about a control freak. I could never even get through one whole episode before the split and I never watched it after. I hope she and her kids do well, but man, who could stand to watch her is beyond me.

Before blissfully cutting off cable, I really did try watching that show once for 5 whole minutes, but only made it through about 3 and a half. Longest three and a half minutes of my life.

Never got through a whole episode. Because she is a harpy. So yeah, good riddance. Hope the kids turn out ok.

She and that ex seemed like slimeballs to me for selling out thier kids. But, Dancing With the Stars humanized her for me. I felt sorry for her when she was on DWTS. She was whiney, annoying, uncoordinated, but kept on plugging! You have to give her that. She is tenacious. I will not miss her or her gross ex-husband. I wish the kids all the best. I hope there is enough of that money left to take good care of them. Hopefully not ALL of it went to plastic surgery. Meow. That was kind of mean, wasn't it.

I think I am the only one who is going to say I enjoyed her show like the first season or two... then she kind of got annoying, and she was so mean to Jon that I was really waiting for him to snap a lot sooner than he did! I am disappointed in the route the show went. In the beginning it was more like a documentary of what it was like to be a parent of that many kids, and was interesting...

Then it turned into Kate the media monster, and suddenly going from struggling to make ends meet to being gifted everything and moving into bigger house after even bigger house!

I am glad to see her go, but will be curious to see if she goes back to er nursing job ever.. and become the normal person she should have stayed!

I don't have TV in my home, and this show, and any others like it, is one of the many reasons why.

Saw part of the shoe once when it was John and Kate - she made the kids walk cause she wanted to show off their outfits. She's a big B and I never watched the show again. She comes off as hugely selfish, almost to the point of abusive, and her kids are going to be screwed up.

We used to enjoy the show as a family. Kate is a true type A personality and she had to be to manage that many kids. Jon never would have been able to handle it and while she was pretty brutal with Jon-he never manned up and told her to stuff it. He wasn't a strong enough personality to handle her so it was probably doomed from the start-especially when you throw that many kids into the mix.

I haven't watched the show since the marriage really started falling apart but I did catch a little of the recent white water rafting trip-and yes-she is so unrealistic to think she isn't going to get wet on a river trip. She is too concerned now with her "star personality" and appearance.

I wish the kids well and do believe they did gain from the show-if only in experiences they never would have done otherwise. And I do believe I read that they had college funds from doing the show. They will be fine.

I watched the show before they got divorced. I kept asking myself, "when is Jon going to leave her already, she is such a piece of work"!? Watched it a few times since then, but she's such a trainwreck I just couldn't continue. She is a walking contradiction.

i really liked the show in the beginning, and loved how she knew the personalities of each kid and what would make them happy or make them melt. I felt she was really reflective on how the kids were maturing and what they needed. No way in the world i would have that many babies and NOT be crazy. so ys it's probably good the show is done but i did enjoy watching her family for the first few seasons.

Kate seems to me like a woman who needs a man that won't let her punk him out. Jon was too soft for her. She is just used to getting her own way and God help the poor soul who doesn't comply to her wants, wishes, desires, and/or commands. I'm feeling sorry for her even now. She is going to end up with a house full of teenagers sooner than later. I hope she hasn't alienated everyone before that happens. Parenting is an already tough job.

How will she feed, shelter, clothe and educate her children minus this avenue/outlet?

I'm more concerned about the kids. What lessons are they catching from their mother even at these early ages?

I have a soft spot in my heart for her. I don't judge her. I don't' think money did great things to their family and thats sad. She's type A, and she makes it hard on herself and her family tying to keep everything just so. But I have my issues too. Granted, I have not watched but one or two episodes since the divorce.

I stopped watching long before they split. They went from a likeable young couple to being very angry and snippy with one another. My DH couldn't watch because Kate reminded him too much of his exwife. I think she will drag out her 15 minutes as long as she can but I'm glad to see the show O.V.E.R. One of the episodes that stuck out to me was dragging toddlers to the bunkbed store when one was not feeling well. Jon ended up taking care of him while she looked at a catalog. It was just so typical.

I don't feel bad for her at all. Seems like she got her tummy tuck and she was off to the races. I feel for the kids. They're stuck with her even now.

I'm glad that they finally had the finale. The show had run its course. There are only so many times you can film her taking trips with the kids. It was a lot more interesting when they were babies, after that it just got old. Her abrasive, my way or the high way attitude really got on my nerves, I auctually stopped watching it for a long time because of her. Hopefully they have invested all that money wisely.

I watched maybe 10mins of that show when it was first on, but not since, and won't notice if she's still on or off. What turned me off about her the most were 2 things: her constant lying about how she conceived the 6, and how she constantly claimed that every single thing she did was for the kids. A friend of mine lived in her old neighborhood and used to have stories, but I didn't pay much attention since I wouldn't know the whole truth of the stories. I'm glad for the kids that the show is over.

I think she is the Reality Diva of all times. I think her best friend/nanny said it like it is, that basically when she met her back in the day she was not like she is now which is all about hair, makeup, "being skinny" and all the hollywood hype. And I think her cute head of security was right when he said people either love her or hate her. I used to watch her show back in the day but she was so uptight about everything she started to stress ME out! I won't miss it but admit I may watch the "what are they doing now" specials on the family that they will likely have.

I watched a few episodes of the show a long time ago, but then more shows with large families or multiples came out so it wasn't unique any more. I did watch the show where her family went to visit Sarah Palin's family for a camping trip. It was interesting to see the clash between Kate Gosselin's personality(miserable and picky) and Sarah Palin's personality(aggressively cheerful).

I will not miss her at all!! I couldn't stand the way she talked to Jon. I only watched the show a couple of times and yelled out to Jon to Man up. She treated him like a child. A lady who works with me loves the show and is sad to see it go. She said Kate is misunderstood. I told her she is someone I have no desire to understand. Good-bye and good riddence.

To be honest - she reminds me of you - if I were to meet you in person - I would expect you to be just like her...sorry - but that's my take.

I didn't watch the show, caught glimpses of it - having 8 kids must be hard and to have a husband that is like one of the kids - well, that's got to be harder still - I've not walked in her shoes and I don't know what it would be like to run a household of 10 people....
