Anyone Delivery at Presbyterian Dallas??

I didn't, BUT have had many friends that have delivered there and LOVE it. When I have gone to visit them after their delivery, I have not seen anything to complain about at all. One of my friends is very particular about her high standards, and that is the only place she has had all 3 of her children. I would recommend it.

My sister delivered there and they were great. My nephew was 11 weeks early and it was a scary situation, but both are fine and the hospital staff were great. I hope this helps.

I had 2 C sections (singleton and twins) at Presby and they are AWESOME! The nursing staff and physicians are so caring and considerate, they are amazing. That facility has won "best place in DFW area to have a baby" several times. No worries at Presby Dallas :) I will be there again this Sept with our 4th.

I delivered all three of my kids at Dallas Presby and had really good experiences. I had one nurse with my 3rd child that was a little rough; don't be afraid to speak up for yourself. Some nurses get to the point that they forget they are dealing with a person instead of a piece of furniture. Be firm, but nice in the way you ask and you shouldn't have any problems. As I said, one nurse out of three deliveries--that's not bad.
My other unasked for advice is to use drugs. Out of the three deliveries, the first was the most pleasant--it was induced (I had low amniotic fluid) and I got the epidural. My second was induced and I only had a vaginal block. My third was not induced and I had no medication at all. Get the drugs; enjoy the experience. You're not proving anything by doing it naturally and if you are induced, your contractions aren't "natural" anyway. Good luck with your little blessing.

I did not deliver there but it was my backup. I was high risk and was much calmer when a business friend told me she was a nurse in the nursery and would personally come get and care for my baby if there were issues....I have been a patient in the hospital and it is wonderful!!! Dr Phillips was my wonderful doc for both babies.....my best to you!!!

I delivered both of my youngest at Dallas Presby and I love it. My Dr was awesome and I loved the nurses as well. In fact several of my friends delivered there as well and we all had great experiences. I can't say you absolutely won't encounter an unpleasant nurse because we all have bad days, but the environment there is wonderful.

I had a wonderful experience at Presbyterian Dallas. I never had any problems with the nurses being rude or anything. Everyone I encountered there was great. I hope this helps you feel better.

I delivered at Presbyterian Dallas (twice). Dr. Nokleberg was my Dr., but I also saw Reinhardt/Patton for some high risk issues. I had to have an emergency c-section the first time, and the nurses and staff took great care of me, and my little guy.
I did have an issue with one nurse, but I told my Dr. what happened, and I was reassigned to a different nurse. That was the first time, and I chose the same hospital and Dr. for my 2nd child.

I delivered both my babies there, the most recent in March. My experience the second time around was better. Both experiences in L&D (one vaginal delivery and one c-section) were great. Wonderful nurses. I found the nurses on the post-partum floor were hit and miss, but more good than average. Some nurses remembered to bring me my meds every four hours, others I had to call the nurses station to remind them. They now have two nurses for you each shift - one for mom, one for baby (this was different from my first experience in 2006). I liked that. Also, being an older hospital. not all the rooms are private. If you want a private room, you have to request it and pay the difference up front (my insurance didn't cover that cost). I delivered at Presby Dallas and would highly recommend delivering there. I had twins, so I was high risk and my OB and perinatologist (sp?) was were wonderful.

I delivered my daughter there in 2004. I had a c-section and no problems, but I had a great doctor (who has since retired so she can raise her own kids). There was one nurse I remember being sort of gruff, but she warmed up eventually. The rest were great. The IV popped out twice and blood went everywhere, but the nurses who helped me were very calm and nice as they got me cleaned up.

I delivered at Dallas Presbyterian. Dr. Toofanian was my doctor. It is a wonderful hospital. They saved my life - literally. I had multiple complications right after delivering my daughter after being a high-risk pregnancy. I almost hemorrhaged to death. They were a wonderful team that worked on me and kept me alive. The nurses that took care of me right after everything happened were the kindest ladies. They treated me with so much compassion after such a horrible, terrifying experience. Dallas Presbyterian is known for being one of the best hospitals for high-risk pregnancies. I do not know who your doctor is, but if it is Dr. Toofanian, you are in wonderful hands.
I know that it is probably scary switching hospitals and doctors at this late in the game, but you will be in very good hands at Dallas Presbyterian. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write me back.

I just delivered at Dallas Presby 8 weeks ago. I was a little reluctant like you, but found the nurses to be very friendly and super supportive. Overall I had a great expericence there!

I just had my second set of twins at Presby Dallas, and the nurses have been great and very attentive each time. I will say that the accomodations are not as new as some of the other hospitals, but keep in mind also that they have one of the best NICU units in the country. I didn't end up having to use it on either occasion but it was comforting to know it was there in case of any complications.

I chose to deliver both kids at Presby Dallas even though I live in Allen. The hospital was top notch and the staff involved with admitting, delivery, and birth were all excellent. There was one nurse after delivery who was a royal pain. So much so that when I had the second one and saw that I had the same nurse I flipped. My doctor arranged for me to have a different nurse and everything after that was wonderful. My second wound up staying at the hospital in NICU for a week and everyone else at the hospital was fantastic. All in all, great hospital, great staff, don't let one bad nurse turn you off. If I were going to have more, I'd do it again the same way.

We delivered there in 2007 and will deliver there again this year. I thought the nurses were great. I had an emergency c becasue of some high risk issues so we were there 4 days. I thought everyone was wonderful. I had some trouble nursing at first (my baby was only 4 lbs 3 oz) and the lactation consultants were great too. The hospital itself isn't as nice as other newer locations, but I was still happy overall.

I did my my 1st dd and loved it- I used Dr. Dulley- LOVED her. Margot Perot hospital was voted best place to have a baby in Dallas. Nurses were very attentive and helpful.

We delivered at Presby-Dallas last July and it was wonderful. It was my wife's first child and she was terrified and high-strung and the nurses were wonderful, during and after the delivery. We ended up having an emergency C because the baby wouldn't rotate after 2 hours of pushing and they handled it. I guess if you deliver a thousand babies a year you know what your doing.
