Anybody Else Following the Casey Anthony Case?

I've been watching since day one. I can't imagine standing trial for murdering my child yet there she sits in court "claiming" she was abused by her father. I HATE that she's using that as defense because it's such an insult to those who have been abused by their family.

The dysfuntional family dynamics is amazing. I wonder what ELSE Caylee would have been exposed to or endured if she was still alive? The sleeping in the bed with Casey's then boyfriend still bothers me. She obviously has some VERY questionable thought patterns just based on THAT.

What can I do next?

A friend of mine just lost his 18 month old nephew to an accidental drowning. Instead of the mother hiding the baby and go partying, she call for an ambulance to try to save her son, and apparently is on the brink of needing in patient treatment for her mental breakdown. Casey's story just doesn't add up, and then to accuse her dad of molestation after he stood by her for all these years after the incident. Defended her repeatedly saying she could never do it. I'm not watching the trial, but I have been watching news coverage.

I am. And have been since the very beginning thanks to Nancy Grace. She followed it from the week is happened. I hate that her parents are a weird as she is, but I seriously doubt that she was abused in any way by her father. She needs an "out", and unfortunately that has worked for some people in trials. I hope that Casey gets the death penalty. Caylie was a beautiful innocent girl who could have had a wonderful life.

What angers me is that her claims of how that poor baby died go directly against all of the forensic evidence. She's lying openly in court. A woman who did the things she did while that little girl was alive can't be trusted to tell the truth about how she died. Her father has already denied that he abused her as she accused him and he looked so sad. That woman (I refuse to call her a mother) is not going to leave the courtroom free.

I'm following, but not at the edge of my seat nor with regular reports. I'm limiting my exposure because I get too upset, angry, and anxious.

I was shocked when the defense is now claiming an accidental drowning? Where did that come from? And I agree, a lot of people are abused and break the cycle. Can't use that as an excuse for bad behavior. The whole family is clearly messed up. You just have to feel bad for Caylee, as there are people out there who would love to adopt a little girl. Instead her family is covering up lie after lie. I hope the mother and anyone else involved gets what is coming to them.

I really wish it wasn't on TV. It totally feeds Casey's narcissism. She LOVES the attention. She LOVES that this is the biggest case since OJ Simpson.

Yes I am following it too. As a retired cop he should have known better! They should have called the authorities when she drowned. Not cover it up. I feel horrible for the little one. I believe they all had a part in it and they all should pay.

from the get go----i agree with all the mothers who say----kid missing for a few seconds you go crazy ----in a store--you get heartsick immediately.....wonder about the brother--his comments at funeral were questionable.......don't believe dad did anything wrong----feel sympathy for him.......the defens is grasping at straws, thowing anything in to clog jurists minds & hope something sticks for reasonable doubt------seems clear cut-guilty -to me...........her lying is amazing----mental problems for sure, but no need to blame dad---
