Any Type of "Mommy and Me" in the Northern Pittsburgh Area
Does anyone know of any type of "Mommy and Me" yoga or swimming class offered in the North Pittsburgh area? I live in Mars/Cranberry and was hoping to get involved in some type of interactive class with my 6 month old. Thanks.

Hi K.,
I am taking swim lessons with my son at the Cranberry Township pool. They also have infant classes. I have also taken classes in the past at the Cranberry YMCA. You don't have to be a member to sign up. I am also a big fan of Gymboree. I have been going with my son since he was 5 weeks old. There is a play & music class in the Wexford Plaza. It is isn't swimming, but it is play gym and they work on developing your little ones senses and skills. I also used to take music lessons with my son at The Center for Young Musicians in Wexford. They have a great baby class.

HI, it's not incredibly close by, but the Avalon Pool has Mommy and Me swim lessons starting on July 22. You can sign up at the pool now. Avalon is off the Camp Horne exit of 279N - let me know if you need more detailed directions.

We did Gymboree in Wexford when we arrived in the area (my daughter was 6 months old) and I've heard some nice things about the YMCA's Mommy & Me (on Rt 19) and the My Gym (on Freedom/Crider Rd near Pizzeria Uno). Also, there's the MOMS Club if you are a stay-at-home mom (www.momsclub.org).
Good luck!
