What can I do next?

I just got the Zooper Tango Double stroller for my newborn and two year old. It is great because you can put any type of infant carrier in one side and the other side has plenty of room for the other kid. Big basket underneath, one handle bar across the back. And the seats fully recline but do so seperatly and have their on sun shades. Great stroller.

If you're concerned about weight and mobility, have you thought about wearing the infant? I've only got one little one at the moment, but I wear her any time we're out and I need my hands free, especially when shopping and pushing the cart. My Moby Wrap is the one piece of baby equipment that I cannot imagine being without. We just upgraded to a mei tai and I foresee us babywearing for a long, long time.

I thorougly enjoyed the Maclaren side by side double stroller for years. Not only is it easy to set up with one hand, but it has lasted for years (through 5 close in age children) and my kids could ride in it without struggling to climb in like the front to back versions ( which I also had, but didn't last) until they were 7 or 8 years old. Great for mall trips when the "bigger" guys got tired of walking and you are carrying the youngest one anyway.
Good luck!

We used the Sit and Stand stroller. It seemed to be the lightest double stroller around, even though when both kids are on, it can get heavy and can be hard to maneuver in tight situations but I think that will be the case for using any double stroller. It is also a little shorter than other doubles.
Good luck!

K.,

I would like the same feedback...if you can let me know...thanks.

Hi K.! When I was shopping for a double stroller I was also concerned about the size and weight of the stroller because I am only 5'/115# and didn't want to fight with a huge stroller that I couldn't lift. I also knew that I wanted a front/back instead of a side-by-side. I went with the Graco Duo Glider. My 19m daughter loves it because she can jump in and out of the seat on her own; this is important to her when we attend our stroller fitness classes. I love that both seats have a cup holder and snack tray, they both recline, it has a parent cup holder, and the basket is a good size. I should also mention that when my daughter is strapped in she cannot get out on her own although she tried her hardest!

Stay away from the "jeep" one. My husband insisted on it when we had our second. If we used it 5 times because of how lousy it was, it would be a miracle. Because the older child goes in the front it is VERY difficult to steer.

Good luck!

It depends on where you plan on using the stroller. I live in the city so I find you need a more SUV type stroller to deal with the bumps. I loved the Phil & Teds with a newborn, since the baby can be fully reclined with the toddler up front. When the baby gets older, he/she will not want to lay down. The front/back seat with the Phil & Ted's was fine for a while but you end up losing basket space when there's feet in the basket. We now use the double Bob Revolution Duallie, which I love. It's probably too heavy and bulky for suburban life, but for the city it's great. You can push two kids with one hand and drink a coffee. I also have a double Maclaren, which I hate, but still use just when we need to take a road trip. You have to push with both hands, the seats are very small, and the kids can get ejected if not strapped in and you hit a small bump.

I bought my double stroller from ebay and was totally happy with it- it was one of those jogging stroller kinds. "In line" or something. I tried one of those train- style double strollers- you know- one seat in front of the other, and found it cumbersome. And umbrella strollers were not sturdy enough for all the strolling I did. Good Luck, C..

I've had luck with the Graco duo stroller- the light version. Sturdy, light, versitile, you name it.

Mom of 4.

The Joovy Caboose lite is amazing. It is more expensive then some, but it is light weight and steers like a dream.
