Any Ideas for Telling Husband What Gender We Are Having?

We have 4 beautiful daughters and are expecting a baby in June. The ultrasound is MOnday. We are really hoping for a boy because this will be our last one. Of course we would love another girl too. My husband won't be able to go to the ultrasound with me. I am trying to come up with a creative idea of how to tell him what gender we are having once I find out. I really don't want to tell him over the phone. I won't drive down to his work because it is too far and too scary for me. (It is over an hour away on the freeway and I get too scared driving on the freeway). Any creative ideas of how to tell him would greatly be appreciated!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you so much for all of your ideas. He ended up working from home because of weather and such. IT'S A BOY!!! When the ultrasound technician said it was a boy, I asked "are you sure?" It is definitely a boy. I cried and so did she. I stopped at Walmart on the way home and bought 3 little boy outfits, a teeball and mitt and a yellow sack to put them in. I covered them up with tissue paper. I took them home to him and told him that what was inside would tell him what it was. He saw the mitt first and looked up at me and said,"it's a boy?" I nodded and he got a big smile on his face. We are so excited. Yay, we are finally having a boy after 4 girls. :)

I would just telling that the ultrasound went fine. and drop little hints like you can pick up that bat and ball on the way home if it is going to be a boy. if it is a girl, tell him he is going to be the proudest papa at all the events they will bring. They will be the twinkle in his eyes.
Good Luck!

I had a cousin tell everyone what she was having by buying an out fit in the appropriate color and wrapping it in a present. Then she let everyone take a guess what it would be, and then she unwrapped the present and showed everyone what she had gotten, and thus what she was going to have.

After 3 darling boys (who prayed constantly for a "baby sister") my husband and I got the ultrasound results--a little girl! So we had a "Pink Party" ready for the boys when they arrived home from school. The living room and kitchen were strung with pink streamers with a pink dress hanging in the entry, a pink balloon tied to each chair at the table set with pink plates, napkins and cups and pink gum next to each, ready for donuts with a pink candle in each. Of course, we had the cameras ready when they returned and it was a HUGE hit! You could do the same in blue for a boy!

You could buy a little gender specific gift and wrap it in generic wrapping paper and he could open it when he gets home from work.

fotune cookie you can warm them up take out the fortune put your new one in

well Mea, The way I told my hubby what we were haveing for our son, is I went out and bought a baby boy outfit and a little pair of blue tennis shoes and wrpped them up and when he walked in from work I handed him the gift, I didn't have to tell him anything else, is ole eyes just welled up with tears like a little kid...lol, it was soo cute. Good Luck and I hope this helps alittle. Let me know what you figure out.

one idea is to make cupcakes and depending on the gender, use that color for your frosting!!

I agree with a few other suggestions on here about having the ultrasound tech not tell you, but put it in a sealed envelope and you & your husband can find out together. I know if it were my husband, that's the way he'd want it. I also would have a VERY hard time not calling him up to tell him...especially if it were a boy and that's what we were really hoping for!
Congratulations on the new baby!
