Take some blankets and make a tent. You can use dining room chairs or just put blankets draped over the table and make a "camp" underneath. It used to drive my mom crazy when my brother and I did it when we were little. But it kept us quiet while she did what she needed to. You can also use a flashlight under the table to make shadow puppets if you use at least one darker blanket.

Head to your local library story time or any old time! They usually have a play area for the little ones plus you can get comfy and read some new books!
Go for a short walk.
Make a fort with blankets and pillows.
Break out a magnifying glass & observe things.
Blindfold him & let him sniff & identify different things in your fridge.
Play blocks, Legos, Megablocks.
Make bean Maracas with paper cups & tape.
Play music & dance
Play hide & seek
Play tag.
Listen to a story CD.
Turn off all the lights and make shadow figures
Run & rub you socks on the carpet & "shock" each other
Do some animal flash cards (dollar store)
Finger paint
Color & draw
Play doh
use a straw to blow a cotton ball across the table (races)
Give him a big bowl of rice or beans and some measuring cups/scoops
Put him in the tub with plastic cups to pour (or small boats)
Make paper airplanes & let him fly them
Kiss/Zerbert his tummy til he cries! (J/K--stop BEFORE he cries!)

put on some music and dance
read a stack of books
play charades, act out an animal and say can you guess what animal mommy is... now you pretend to be an animal and mommy will guess
blow up a balloon and try to see if you can keep it up in the air (be careful to pick up all the pieces if it accidently pops)

Maybe build a fort out of chairs and blankets. Have a picnic, tell stories, pretend like your camping? My son used to love doing that when he was younger. Hopefully warmer/nicer weather will come to you sooner than later :)

it won't be cold for too much longer, so that will help! Do you have a chick-fil-a near you? the ones near me have indoor play areas, and the food isn't too bad either. Some malls have indoor play areas for free for little ones.

Not sure of your budget, but near me we have all kinds of indoor play places and children's museums for the kids to go to. you can look for coupons, or sometimes getting a membership is worth it!

My daughters could play with playdoh for HOURS!!!! Legos too... we love the duplo size. Anything to spark his imagination... a farmhouse and some people, or the imaginext stuff (pirates, dragon castle, etc)
