Any Help Would Be Great.....

Hello all. I am 7.5 wks pregnant and so nauseated ALL day long I don't know what to do. I have a one yr old who needs me and sometimes I don't know how we made it through the day. My husband works ALL day too so he isn't really able to help me out. What I am wondering is...andyideas on how to make the nausea better. I have tried crackers and sipping coke and resting...and everything else I can think of. I need something that might be promising. I haven't thrown up yet....so there is hope that this pregnancy won't be as bad as the first (threw up multiple times a day until 14 wks) But I don't know how much more of this I can take. My house is a mess , laundry is behind and I can only manage to take care of my daughter..barely... I need a good day.......soon.
Thanks for any suggestions...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you everybody who responded. I will try all of your advice. Hopefully something will help. Some days are better then others..but none are with out a constant nauseated feeling. I sure do look forward to being done with this. Thanks again though...and I promise I will try all of the ideas that were given.
Thanks again.

I also know how you feel, I didn't get sick until I was almost three months along. I was so sick that I lost nearly 10 pounds instead of gaining the weight. I tried everything, but the one that seemed to work well for me was to smell a lomen. I know it sounds wierd but it works, cut a small piece off of the lomen so you get a strong enough scent. On the days that I couldn't keep anything down, popsicles were wonderful to have. I found that the wristbands for motion sickness were a waist of money. And the sprite often didn't help either.
Good luck with everything!!
Take care :)

With my first child I was sick SEVERAL times a day for 4 months so I've tried it all!! Some of the things that helped me was the smell of lemons. ANYTHING lemons made me less nausous. I aslo kept lots of sweet tarts on hand because those really helped. Hope these work for you!! and Happy Pregnancy!! Only 32 more weeks!!

aww you poor thing! When I was pregnant with my son the best thing I found for my nausea was coke syrup. You can buy it from the pharmacy (you'll have to ask for it). Just put it over crushed ice and sip it or you can do like I did and take it just with a spoon. hope this helps you.

If you need help, I'd be glad to lend a hand! I've soooo been where you're at! I know I don't know you, but believe me if you need help for a day, let me know. You're more than welcome to come to my house and rest. Your little girl can play with my little ones and give you a break to put your feet up. Even if you need help with house work... we'll work something out. I don't know what else to tell you about the sickness. Sometimes you have to ride it out. I know doctors tell you to rest but that is simply impossible when you have other toddlers to take care of. Let me know if want my help and I'll be happy to oblige. *E.*

I would talk with your doctor if it's really bad that you can't go about your day like normal and it's interfering with caring for your child. There are many different medicines that are safe to use while pregnant that help with the nausea.
I'm 17 weeks pregnant right now with 2 little kids at home (1 and 4) and my house was complete wreck for the first 3 months. NO ONE came into my house because it was so bad... don't worry so much about the house, you'll have time to clean later. Just spend your non-horribly-sicktime with your child. You might also want to look into a Moms Day Out program or parttime daycare for 1 or 2 mornings a week just to give you a break and give you time to rest. I treasure my son's preschool days and my daughters mom's day out day -- even if they both aren't gone at the same time, it's a nice break to have just one around. Another idea is hire a cleaning lady to come clean the house every 2 weeks or so. Good luck - I've been there (recently!) and it does finally get better!

When i was pregnant with my frist child i lost 25 pounds in the frist three months, my doctor also suggested teh motion sickness wrist bands and she suggested 50 mill. of vitamen E. i found that the vit, E helped out alot. This is goign ot be something that you will have to expirament with. i found as i got thrue my frist trimester that the vomiting subsided. Goodluck hun.

tell your doctor and he will probably write you a prescription ofr phenergan. i took it the whole time i was pregnant because i was sick from the time i got up til the time i went to bed and it lasted the whole pregnancy. i told my doctor and that is what he gave me.

Have you tried sucking on a hard piece of candy? That should help some. With my son I didn't have any of that at all, so I'm not really a big help. sorry.

I agree, ginger will help with upset stomach. Also, try sprite or 7up instead of coke!

Hello! I know exactly how you feel except I was throwing up too. I couldn't even get through the day. You may ask your doctor to prescribe you Zofran. It's perfectly safe for the baby and it works wonders. It is actually what they prescribe for Chemo patients after their treatments so they won't be nauseated. It's worth a shot, I don't know if your doctor will be willing to put you on it or not but if you let him know how bad you are feeling he just might! It's also VERY expensive so hopefully you have good insurance. I think it's like $700 for 12 pills.

Good luck!
