Dance dance revolution for Xbox 360. It is so much fun. I started about 2 weeks ago and in my first week I lost 5 pounds. You will have a blast. Good luck.

Not that you want to hear this but...it took you 9 mons to put on all that weight. It's gonna take you that long to take it off. Also again not what you want to hear, but 30 of those pounds was baby stuff. If you had a normal sized child (7 lbs) then 30 pds of what you've lost is baby related. Placenta, amniotic fluid, baby...all that stuff adds up to 30 pds. The only thing I can tell you is have portion control and exercise.

I have mentioned this before, but for me, the fastest easiest way I have ever lost wait was to cut down on my carbohydrates. This means no cheating for the first couple months. It also means you can go out and eat and enjoy yourself...but no bread, no rice.
Order a meal and ask for cooked escarole or extra green beans instead of pasta.I kept to an average of 50 net carbs a day, which is a lot easier than counting calories.
I started out with 2 eggs in the morning (0 carbs) and that kept me full until lunch.
I hardly exercized. All I can tell you is that I lost at least 25 pounds in about three months without suffering. I can eat a few more carbs now three years later, but I haven't gained the weight back. However, if you mix carbs and sweets and other foods, you defeat the purpose and many people have told me it doesn't work for them, but when I've gone out to eat with these people, they order eggs or steak or tuna fish, or whatever and still eat the toast. That defeats the diet. You can buy Dreamfields pasta which is very low in carbs. It is important to watch the amounts of what you eat. Blueberries are low in carbs, but you cannot eat a whole pint of them. I love lo carb ice cream, but it is sometimes hard to find. I do splurge on popcorn, but the butter or the topping by redenbacher does not count for carbs. In the end, I find I eat less, I don't have as many cravings, and I do allow myself to splurge on the weekend a little, which keeps the frustration down. if I tell myself it's okay to give in to a birthday cake now and then, it works better psycologically. I eat low carb candy when I'm in dire straights. So that is what I have done. I take lots of vitamans because I stay away from OJ which is high in carbs. Best of luck.

Weight Watchers worked for me...with my pregnancy I gained about 35-40 lbs., and from my highest weight (the night I went into labor) I have lost almost 60--wearing a smaller size & looking better than I did before I got pregnant.

I didn't join an official WW meeting, although I hear that's a great idea, if you can afford it. Some friends at work and I got some books from ebay, other friends' old books, etc, and acted as a support system to one another. One friend has lost 50 lbs, one has lost 45, and even my husband got involved (he also lost about 40 lbs.). Weight Watchers teaches you portion control and helps you be aware of what exactly you're eating. I highly recommend it!!

P.S.--We think the real key to it was the accountability and encouragement our group offered--so if you don't have friends or a spouse who will do it with you, joining a WW meeting would definitely make a big difference!

when I had my daughter 3 years ago, i did not put on alot of weight but I was big to begin with. I joined curves and was having very positive results! The problem was getting to the curves sight 3 times a week, so I eneded up paying monthly for something I never really use! i also am not a successful dieter. now that I am 7 months pregnant again, I am putting on alot of weight and worried, I am not eating differently or even eating more, I think my body is just stretched from my daughter and now I am expanding! I worry that I will be extremely large when I am done, and I have heard that the walk away the pounds videos are excellent, and I was told that they are good enough to even participate in while I am pregnant! those are the only suggestions I have because I have never been extremely successful with weight loss. Good Luck and if you find something! Please let me know

Yes, Weight Watchers worked for me after my daughter was born and again five years later after my son was born twice I lost a numerous amount of weight. There support group is great and it only costs $10.00 a week. You do not have to buy there food just completely follow there instructions and it works. I have tried every diet out there and when push comes to shove the most natural way is weight watchers. Please try it, it really works you have to go in with a mind that you can do it.

curves is a very supportive atmosphere to exercise in. weight watchers is also an excellent diet to follow, it's very healthy. if you can't afford to join, ask around there's usually someone who has their old books and info the don't use anymore.

PORTION CONTROL!! And, eat several small meals a day instead of 3 large ones. Also, don't have temptation in your house or at work; get rid of the snacks! Take an hour a week and cut up lots of fresh veggies and fruit to have on hand when you get a snacking urge, you will be less likely to grab something like a granola bar, or worse, a cupcake, if you have healthy snacks readily available.

I lost all of my baby weight pretty easily but then put it all back on a year later since I was staying home and baking all the time. I did a combo of portion control, healthy snacking, and PILATES and lost the weight again in a little over 3 months! I didn't go to the gym, either, I used a pilates DVD during naptime, 3 times a week. Also, start reading food labels and find foods with higher fiber content and low fat contents. You can do it! It will become second nature soon.

I actually now need to lose a few pounds that I have added over the holidays so I will be putting myself back on the plan. We can check in with each other if you want!

Good luck!

Diet and excersize are the best way to lose weight. I joined Curves and dropped 25 pounds and still losing weight since october, because i am breastfeeding I had to make sure i didn't cut too many calories, but i worked with the staff and okayed it with my doctor and its worked great for me. But i know that going to the gym is not an easy task, especially with a baby, so another option is in home excersize. I suggest "walk away the pounds" its a great excersize and its easy, affordable, you can do it in your home, it doesn't take long and it really gets results. Its also affordable, one dvd that has 2 workouts on it is under 20 dollars. They helped me lose a lot of weight before i got pregnant.

Hi I just recently joined stroller fit which is an awesome class. Unlike any other gym or class I get to take my baby with me and do excercises while pushing the stoller or keeping my eye on her. I never believed in paying for a class but at 50 a month its not horrible and I get to interact with other moms and at the end the kids get to play for a few minutes while we cool down and stretch and work on our abs. I have only went to 3 classes but they felt good hwen I was done. They are having a free week now so you can go and try it. The class is held at the PAL parsippany building. If you would like any more info email me at ____@____.com

Once it gets warmer out I plan to walk more because thats how I some of the weight but I too gained about 60 pounds when I was pregnant. I also cut out soda and icecream and try to cut out chocolate and cheese when I can because those have sugar and fat. It all takes time and everyone is different youjust have to find a good plan that works for you and stick to it. For me I can only diet so much and then I have to excercise. Good Luck.

I tried the South Beach diet and I lost 8 lbs in like 10 days. But when I got to step 2 it stopped working. (The step u can add a little more carbs). I followed it strictly too... and that's basically the atkins diet, which isn't too good for you

But here's MY problem... I dieted for 3 1/2 months, ate nothing but stir fry, veggies, and fruits. I didn't have one lick of a lolipop, one sip of soda, (only water) and I lost only 7 pounds. I walked every day for 2 miles with my daughter. Is there something wrong with me?

drink lots of water and take the baby for long walks. you'll lose weight & most likely put the baby to sleep for a while. it always worked for me. whenever my daughter was cranky we would take her for a long walk & it would put her right out. i also lost the baby weight so fast that in 2 months you couldn't even tell that i had just had a baby.
