No kids w/diabetes, but have had them in my classrooms. Many schools don't have nurses on site any longer, but the children I knew were able to check their own sugar and their moms were close enough to the campus that if insulin had to be given they could come to the school and administer it. Talk to the people at school. I'm sure they will support you in any ways they can.

You may want to ask your school nurse. My friend's son has diabetes, his mom aften helped other moms with newly diagnosed diabetic kids. (Our kids are grown now)The school nurse hooks them up, so do try that resource. Good luck!

Hi M.
No kids with diabetes, however, there is a movie I recommend.. it's called: raw for thirty days.. it's about the foods we eat and how natural food (raw) can be a HUGE difference. they took about 7 people of which were type 2 but one young guy who was type 1 and had them eat a raw diet for 30 days. the results were amazing..
I highly recommend it..
good luck to you!!

Yes I have a 10 year old daughter with diabetes. Diagnosed at 13 months. You can email or call me with any questions or concerns you may have.

check with your local Parent's Network. In Contra Costa Couty it's ###-###-####. They link familes with similar concerns. You could also look to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. They have great connections.
