Any Cinemas That Host Mommy and Me Matinees?

Hi I used to live in Los Angeles and several of the theater chains used to host "Stroller matinees" on weekdays usually the 11am showing. They welcomed parents and their infants/toddlers and their strollers to come watch 1st run movies. They only lowered the lights about halfway so you could easily find what you needed in your diaper bag etc... sure there is the occasional crying but it was worth it to get to see a movie on the big screen. Does anyone know of any theaters in the Boston area that might do this? I haven't had any luck looking around the theaters online. Just wondering if anyone has heard of such a thing. Thanks in advance for any info.

What can I do next?

The Lowe's near Boylston Street T stop has Reel Moms on Tuesdays at 11am. I also think the Somerville or Arlington Theatres do something like that on other days...have fun!

There are a few showcase cinemas that do Mommy & Me movies. They just ask you not to bring strollers because they are a fire exit hazard. I have been in Lowell. There aren't that many people there when we go. They did not turn the volume down once and another time forgot to dim the light at all. Overall not too bad for a $5 movie on Tues.

The Capitol Theater on Mass Ave. in East Arlington does Monday baby movies. Same sort of thing you're describing. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/babyfriendlymovies/

See the note on the bottom of the page:
