My son's 1st birthday is coming up and we plan to have a pinata. However, I think he is too young to gorge himself on all the candy that fills them, not to mention the choking hazard. Does anyone have any healthy, toddler friendly alternatives?? Any suggestions will be welcome! Mahalo in advance!

what about those gerber fruit snacks? If there are older kids there, and I am assuming there will be they might want something too. Maybe put in a few things for the variety of ages that you will have, and kind of discretely divvy things up after?

Smart and Final is a great place to look for individually wrapped foods, and try a teacher's supply store for toy type goodies.

Small containers of bubbles are fun. You can find some safe ones and ones that are really neat.

Good luck!

Hi
What I did for Birthday #1 was buy the large pinata (animal) and filled it with toddler treats like: individually wrapped cookies (healthy), sugar free lollipops, plastic slinkies, small cars, stuffed animals...and so on.

Good luck!
