Alaverty is the only one that works for me. I even tried the zyrtec, but didn't work. You can also have a tsp of a local honey, every morning, it'll help you too.

hi
We use Zyrtec in our home and I think it works really well.. also, unlike Benadryl which can make you drowsie, Zyrtec does not.. additionally, you don't get that hung over feeling the next day from taking it...
you only need one dose a day. .Also, have you tried Zyrtec eyedrops? my eyes used to itch some crazy and when I started to use that.. ahhhh TOTAL relief... you can buy the drugstore brand equiv of Zyrtec.. I highly recommend the eye drops....

I just started using Zyrtec for me and my 4 yr old and it seems to be working wonders. This year the pollen seems to be really out of control...I've never had such bad allergy reactions.

I've used Zyrtec and it works for me. I also have a great allergist if you'd like the info!

I would call your doctor and ask for an allergy eye drop. When my eyes were bad (i.e. as a child I would get sent home because they thought I had pink eye), they are the only things that would work for me. I also have horrible allergies, and my advice is to use Symbicort versus Zyrtec (even Claritin is better as far as I'm concerned) and make sure that every night before bed you and your husband take a shower. It is a pain in the butt to change up your routine, but if you change your sheets tonight and make sure that everyone is pollen free at the end of the evening, it is amazing how differently you will feel! Sleeping in the pollen will also make your eyes much worse! Sleep with multiple pillows to keep your head elevated, and try to hydrate yourself as much as possible. Good luck...allergies stink!!!

zytrec isn't a bad allergy medication. it went over the counter a few years ago in a strength less than the prescription version.

Ask your pharmacist which one is best for helping relieve itchy eyes. There are also prescription drops available that target just your eye allergy symptoms.

But, keep in mind that no 2 people will have the same reaction to any medication. So, just because they advise you that it will help, it may not be as effective in you as it is in other people,

Good luck!

Ask your doctor about Pataday(perscription) eyedrops. They are fairly expensive even with insurance, but work wonders. Good luck!
