Has anyone purchased an ionized alkaline water system? Any dislikes or likes? I have been seeing a doctor who recommends the Kangen water system but it is very pricey. Just wanted to get some opinions if anyone has ever tried this water and what they think..............thanks

What can I do next?

I have done a lot of research on alkaline water and alkaline water systems and from what I read, Kangen is one of the worst. www.ionizersreviewed.com seems to be a neutral source, and they found that Kangen is WAY overpriced. They don't use the newest technology and they have an additive they use to add to the water to make it more alkaline.

There are other models that are much cheaper that will give you better results.

I drink alkaline water but I couldn't afford a machine so I made my own. Not everyone is up to that task! That being said, my machine cost me $50 and it makes 2 gallons of alkaline water and 2 gallons of acidic water at a time. My family loves the alkaline water and I did detox for a week when I started it. Now my daughter won't drink anything else and my cat who was fat lost weight and both of their hair is silky smooth.

I highly recommend the water! It tastes great, is super hydrating and we love it.

Actually, the Amway water treatment system is one of the best on the market. And you don't need to join or be sponsored. I got mine online last fall. And actually had ordered a counter top model as it was less expensive, but it turned out the guy installing it ended up making it the under the sink model.
But this system uses a BLOCK of charcoal to filter out the junk that tap water would have. Unlike other systems like Brita, which uses granulated and stuff gets by granulated. With a charcoal block, it's captured in the block. And you get a NEAR 100% clean water. Not perfect but as close as possible.
I assume you're talking about better drinking water, right? If so, Google in Amway Water Treatment System and you'll get places that have access to it who are just in the business and not necessarily Amway distributors. Despite everyone's misgivings about Amway, they do have quality products. Been there done that. Good luck.

I honestly think it is just another "snake oil" product. Here is just one of many decent articles you can read online which explains the science in layman's terms. Anyone who might be considering spending money on one of these systems may want to read this first. http://www.apswater.com/article.asp?id=198&title=Alka...

Ionized alkaline water has many benefits. It is much more hydrating, helps balance your ph levels, detoxifies your body and has great anti-oxidant properties. Alkaline and acidic waters have many great properties besides its health properties, the different levels of water can be used for cleaning, stain removal, washing fruits and vegetables, etc.

I work with a company that retails an ionizing water system (along with other green technologies for the home), and it hooks right up to your kitchen sink, and allows you to have either alkaline or acidic water depending on what you need. Since drinking the water we have noticed significant improvements in our health and overall well-being. Like the previous post, my children will not drink any other water, nor will I. Even the taste is better.
