I'm looking for somewhere in the area that I can get some affordable maternity clothes. I don't want to spend a ton since I won't be wearing them very long.

JCPenney and Kohl's have reasonably-priced maternity clothes. You may also consider going to a consignment store such as Kid to Kid - I bought a couple of pairs of maternity jeans that way. Motherhood Maternity is also reasonably priced, especially compared to other maternity speciality stores, and they have decent sales. There is one at Stonebriar Mall.

Another great place is Burlington Coat Factory. They have great prices and a good selection. They also carry some nice brands for incredible deals.

Check out Ross. I was just in there yesterday and they had some good buys on maturity clothes. Good luck!

I bought most of my stuff from JC Penny's. They seem to always have a sale. I got lots of shirts for $5 each, all of which I could wear to work.

Try checking out Hodge Podge Kid Stuff on the SW corner of 75 & McDermott in Allen. We carry maternity in addition to kid stuff and lots of gift items.

I have some maternity clothes I am about to get rid of if you want them. There's not a whole lot but they're free. Some tops (mostly large), a couple of jumpers, at least one pair of jeans (I think they're mediums). Send me a personal message if you're interested. Also the Lil Lambs consignment sale in Allen has good deals on maternity clothes at their bi-annual sales - usually in October and February or March.

I bought a majority of mine at JcPenny's of all places. I typically don't shop there but I loved there maternity clothes. They fit me better then any other place I shopped for clothes. i also would buy them at Kids R Kids consignment shops. Many times I got pants for $5.00 and tops about the same.

I also have maternity clothes that i am trying to sell. All mine are a size L - XL if you are interested

I bought a lot of my stuff from Old Navy. They seem to be cutting back on their maternity clothes in-store, so I ended up shopping online for most of my clothes with the second pregnancy. I wore some Gap Maternity with my first pregnancy, but their prices were higher when I shopped for my second pregnancy.

Motherhood Maternity has decent prices and a great selection, but their return policy stinks, and they sell your name to a lot of other companies that sell baby products, so you end up on junk mail lists.

Target has some nice clothes too.

Motherhood Maternity and Old Navy. Just make sure that the Old Navy you visit carries the maternity line.

Good luck and Congratulations!!

Kid to Kid carries maternity clothes. When I go to Motherhood Maternity I mostly shop their clearance rack and find good deals there. Target also has cute stuff, but not a big selection. I'm like you, I hate spending lots of $ on clothes I won't wear very long.

I found a lot of maternity clothes on craigslist. Some people will sell their whole maternity wardrobe to get rid of it for $25-$50. You can buy groups of clothes on Ebay too if it's worth the shipping fee.

JC Penneys outlet in Grapevine, Burlington Coat Factory, Old Navy, Kohls, Motherhood, Ross & Target are other places I found things on sale.

I also found several styles of regular clothes that worked for maternity that I can still wear after having the baby.

The United Methodist Church in/at? Munger Place is having a free clothing exchange this Sat. Bring a sack of clothes and take home a sack of clothes. I'm sure they will have maternity clothing.

You can look up Munger Place Clothing Exchange to search for the event. I just did it to make sure what to tell you to look for - it was the first listing.

Also: Kid Consignment shops and thrift stores often have a section of mat. clothing.

Also try Sugar n' Spice on Hedgcoxe just east of Ohio in Plano. I got several cute things there for great prices when I was pregnant.

HI Amy,
I have some maternity clothes you can have. I got most of them from Motherhood so they are stylish, however, they are about 5 years old. I've got them in a clear storage ben so they should be in good shape. Let me know...

I got a lot of stuff at JCPenney, Target and Old Navy when I was pregnant. The stuff from Motherhood always scared me because they make you sign something at checkout saying that you won't put it in the dryer - not a good sign! Congratulations on the new baby!
