Hi Moms~
We have an annual pass to Adventure park in Ham Lake, but when I just called there with a question there is a recording stating that they have perm. closed for business on April 1st. No good!! Does anyone know anything about this? Likewise, does anyone know of another indoor playground in the north metro since it looks like we may have to find another one?

thanks,
S.

What can I do next?

I saw they filed for bankrupcy and it was confirmed when my hubby took my son there the next day - talk about a disapointed little guy! They always seemed busy when we went there - too sad!

Edinborough Indoor Park in Edina is another option. I know its probably further south than you were looking to go but a nice option nonetheless. They have a little area for younger ones, a large climbing area, open gym with balls and sitting scoocher things. They also have a pool but I think that access is additional. Entrance to the "Park" area with trees and plants is free. A nice place to go just to get break from MN winters.

I have not been there but have heard the indoor play area at the Maple Grove community center is really great.

OMG! I didn't know they closed their doors until I read your Request. I was actually going to have my 4-yr-old's birthday party there last week, but went with Twin City Twisters instead. I also have 2 books of free passes I already paid for. My neighbors all go there about once per month. None of them ever mentioned it either.

Depending on where you live, my next favorite indoor playground would be Maple Maze in the Maple Grove Community Center (corner of 85th & Main). We also go to Eagles Nest in New Brighton once in a while. I have also heard that Shoreview has a great indoor water park for preschool aged children. I plan to try that out soon. One more option...Pump It Up, just down the road from Adventure Park. But, I don't think the hours are as flexible as Adventure Park or other indoor playgrounds.

Let me know if you find others than those I listed above. I am always curious about places to go to in the winter months.
