I have big boobs, mine are bigger than DD and I am 5'3 I want to get mine reduced and I wished I had the money to spend. Big boobs are way overrated!

I'm a 38 DD, and I despise mine! I cannot shop for a shirt that buttons up, and it's so annoying. I'm limited to certain types of clothes. Boobs are over rated. And men don't like giant boobs, so I'd stick to a C-D.

I think a DD is too large. I am a D cup (a large D) and would much rather be a nice firm C even a D I feel is too large I am 5'6 and 120lbs.

5'8 an 120lbs is pretty thing. You will look like a stick w/ boobs

edited: I believe I read somewhere that women's clothing is made to fit a c cup. Being a D I have a hard time with button up shirts, cannot find dresses that fit right, etc.

dd is wayyyy to big for that size, a d would be perfect!, i dont think your husband realizes what he is asking. I have 38 dd's, sometimes 38 e's, the difference between a d and a dd is phenomenal when it comes to looks, weight, keeping a slender figure, finding bras, LIKING bras, liking yourself.

IMO, a c cup is perfect, but a d is on the large side of perfect. double d's are massive and uncomfortable

I kinda think it they would be too big. I'm an your size (body wise) and so is my sister. My sister had an augmentation (in NYC no less) a few years ago. She is now a pretty big C. They look amazing and natural. I really think anything bigger than a D (and that's pushing it) is not going to look natural. How big are you now? To be honest, I don't think your hubby is gonna know the difference between a D or DD. He'll just like the new boobs!

Speaking from personal experience,... I am a DD , no boob job ,,just the boob gene . LOL You really should reconsider, as the 'Girls ' are not all they are cracked up to be . The size increase will affect your back and shoulders over time, so keep that in mind. I wouldn't go that big if I had a choice, and you shouldn't be doing it for your hubby either. But to make yourself feel better. There 's nothing wrong with wanting larger boobs , but, seriously don't you want them to look natural ? You sound very thin for your height and I think this is a bit much. Just a plain D would be sufficent . And I'm nort one for all the attention they bring, so, really I guess it comes down to what you are willing to put up ! Best of Luck, C. S.

This is a very personal decision and it is YOUR body, not hubby's.

I am 5'5", petite, 116#, size 0-2 depending on designer, tiny waist, small hips. My boobs are naturally perky 34DD. I was blessed with great genes.

I LOVE my boobs, However, most people think they are plastic because most women my size do not have natural 34DD and is as small framed as I am. That said, I am not like many women and I take pride in my body and have no issue with being in great shape. Don't get DD just because your hubby wants it.

I personally don't have any issues with mine, I LOVE them. I wear good supportive bras, I do sometimes have to have tops altered to fit. I stay in good physical shape, little to no body fat, good tone. I enjoy my body.

I believe the main thing is to get what YOU want. It is YOUR body. Your Dr. should have some inserts of different sizes so you cab "try it out".

I have a suggestion. You could visit a shop that specializes in bras and prosthesis for women that have had mastectomies. There is a place in my town--obviously too far for you but something you could look into. Just let them know what you plan to do and tell them you want to see how it would look. I knew a woman that had a mastectomy and she decided she wanted to be just a bit bigger with her reconstruction. The shop she went to helped her decide what looked best and would feel the most comfortable doe her body shape and size.

I'm a DD and about your height and weight and it's too big. Of course I am short waisted, too, so even though I really am thin, my breasts make me look fat in some outfits. Please consider your body shape as well as your height and weight. My friend who had this procedure has always wished she went smaller. Stuff a DD bra and a C bra and try on some of your clothes

I have also thought long and hard about augmentation. But yes, I think you will regret a DD. At 5'8'' and 120 your frame is too slight for it. But worse, by 60-70-80...Those gunboats are gonna get hit hard by gravity. Get something you can live with and when you feel the need for a little extra, wear a padded push-up. Padding can be removed, implants cannot (at leat not easily).

I think DD might be too big.

Think about it...whatever size you choose will be perky and wonderful (I am jealous) and absolutely perfect. I would go with a D at the biggest.

Hubby will be happy with whatever, this is your body and you should choose.

Hope all goes well and recovery is easy (stay ahead of the pain with pain meds) and congrats on the new perky boobies!

Are you going over or under the muscle? If you go over the muscle, you will look like what my doctor called "tits-on-a-stick" (thin with melons stuck on your chest). Of course, if that's what you WANT to look like (and lots of women do, it's their choice), then you should go that big. But don't do it just because your DH wants to you. I do think that with your height and weight, the BA will look extremely obvious going that big (especially if you're going from an A cup). But either way, make sure it's what YOU want because YOU have to live with it. Good luck with your surgery and enjoy your new figure!

HA! I have DD boobs (natural and I am far shorter than you). My husband adores them, I do not. I think a large C/small D cup would be perfect. Given that you are relatively tall and thin I think DD is going to look extremely fake on you (might be the look you are going for, if you want to look natural, smaller is better). Can't you have your surgeon simulate what you would look like with various sizes? Also, you should do a test drive with different size boobs (you would be amazed how much DDs get in the way and they are heavy)...I am sure they have a way to do that...inserts or something.

I would suggest asking the doctor if you could "try out" a few sizes before selecting one. Before my aunt had hers done (she was an A pre-op), the doctor let her take home several salines "sets" to wear and see what felt comfortable. She's very active and enjoys cardio exercise, so a C was as large as she could go without incurring "pain" throughout the day.

DD is pretty big considering how thin you seem. You don't say what you are now, but you probably wouldn't want to go up more than 2 cups sizes b/c you will look out-of-proportion (at least that's what her surgeon suggested).

DO you feel comfortable going that big? If not, then do what YOU are comfortable with. Honestly, it's probably just a guy fantasy, for their wife to have huge ones. He's not thinking of you, your comfort, your body proportions. He will be happy no matter what size you get, keep that in mind. When all is said and done, you have to feel good. They are attached to YOU, not him. As someone who is naturally that size...to many people, you will be just boobs. Be prepared, for that. Some people might think the attention makes you feel good, but it doesn't. I am going to get a breast reduction to a smaller size, eventually.

Honestly, I think a DD would be too large on your slender frame. I am by no means a slender woman (5'5'' 190lbs) and I have a natural DD and I think they are too large for me...I think look top heavy!

with your small frame it may be too much. If you do have a good Dr. he will help you decide what is the right size for your body without looking silly. And like others have said DD is h*** o* the back, shoulders and clothes shopping!

It's all up to you. Do you just want larger boobs or do you want it to be apparent that you had augmentation? It sounds like your man is a boob man, which is why he wants you to go larger. If this is part of the reason you are going, then you need to decide if you want what he is hoping you'll get. Just remember - the bigger the boobs, the bigger you will appear all over. Just a thought!

Speaking from experience, do your research on back pain caused from having a D cup and a small body frame.

Honestly, I wouldn't go that big. If you have a thin frame like that I think a middle C or full C would be better. I went from a C to a full C/small D after augmentation and I can't wear certain cute tops because of how chesty I look in them. I think full boobs are pretty on an athletic frame but not big ones. You can wear more diverse styles, too. Also, if you work out, too big ones are gonna bother you, sleeping on your tummy doesn't work, and don't most men want their women to be boobylicious, anyway? Glad you found a doc that you like. The surgeon usually asks you to bring in pics of breasts that you like to help him contour them more to your ideal shape. Start buying those Playboys and Penthouses! On a side note, I went to an event the other night and saw some celeb actresses close-up and personal like Demi Moore, Marissa Tomei, Renee Zellwegger, Halle Berry, and you know what I was thinking when I was looking at them was that they were all so shapely and fit but their boobs were not big and I loved how that looked! It kind of made me regret not going a bit smaller. I'm sure you will make the right decision with your doctor.

Here is one other thing to consider. I have a friend with DD+ and she has harsh back problems. It can also directly affect your legs and feet as well.

I have two neices who are naturally DD's but what you don't mention is how wide you are around the back. It does make a difference. Both of my neices are pettite. They both are now 34 but one was a 32 still with the DD's. Finding bra's for them is very difficult. The both have experiences with back pain. While one of my neices went up to a 34 H when she was pregnant both of them don't look over the top with their breasts since they both have round ample bottoms. It is sort of like Jessica Rabbit from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". They are not bad just drawn that way. Trust me I spend many hours beating guys off of them. They are both modest girls for the most part.

I say look into what bras you can find for your number and cup size and them make the decision. Nothing worse that having bigger boobs but ugly bras.

Unrelated side note. I opted not to get breast implants and I'm glad I did. My mom is the first in my family to have been diagnosed with breast cancer. It may be more difficult to spot the cancer early when you have implants. Just an FYI.

Double D SOUNDS nice... but from a 6'1 chick who's a 36 tripD (I can wear a DD, but double boob a bit)... they are a pain in the a$$. Personally, I'm saving for a breast reduction. But my nipples still have a direct line to god.. so it's not something I'm super thrilled about.

I 2nd the suggestion of stuffing a DD bra and going shopping/ trying on shirts. Button ups are impossible (I have to get mine made for me / altered from men's shirts to fit my chest), girly T's become belly shirts (but I can wear them fine with no abdomen showing when I mash the girls into a "Help! Can't breathe!" sports bra), dresses... same problem. Most dresses max out at a high C / lowD. When you're a D+, you're relying heavily on stretch knit & having a seamstress & not being able to even try on about 2/3s of cute clothes out there.

Even better is to wear the WEIGHT the implants will be for a few weeks. I'm lucky, my collar bones stick out no matter how much or how little I weigh, so I can wear thin strapped bras without getting the "grooves", but most women my cup size don't have broad shoulders like me... so they have to wear 1" thick straps.

Now... I'm not saying don't do it... but these are some serious drawbacks to consider (weight dragging down on you and how to cover them up - bras, clothes). Before taking the plunge... I'd really "try them on" first.

But more power to ya! Get what YOU want and what makes YOU happy. (And heck, that can also be what makes your hubby happy... but very few men have any clue as to what size women's breasts actually are. Most I've noticed fall into 2 categories : More than a mouthful's a waste & Big. But very few know anything beyond D or DD -as in high C gets mistaken for DD all the time, and DD gets mistaken for D).

(and overwieght-I would get reduction, but as I loose weight I don't want to end up flat so we will save it for now until I know how much will disapear with the weight.)
Think about comfort. Are bras you like easy to find? Will your breasts be heavy enough to 'pull' the muscles in your shoulders and back?
My step mother is about 5'2" and wears a 32DD. She has had surgery on both shoulders because of the wear and tear on the muscles and ligaments. Ask the Dr.s opinion on how this will affect you in hte long run. I think your husband is thinking with his little brain instead of the one on his shoulders!

I am 5/2 and wear a 42 D. They are plenty round. Be careful of back problems if you get too big.

Based on your height and weight your are very thin. I think DD would be way too big for your frame. My mom has DD and has had shoulder issues with them for years and wud get them reduced if she cud afford it. my opinion wud be a solid C wud be nice, look more natural and not cause you possible shoulder/back issues. I went the other way from a H cup to a DD. I'm now a 38DD if you are smaller around the chest ie 34DD then it will be quite heavy and look large. I think a 36 DD OR 38DD is fine. Just remember the bigger you go, the more back and neck pain you will get due to heaviness. Working out is not so much fun!

Your husband isn't the one who has to deal with finding bras for that size, clothes that are comfortable, etc. Stick with C or D so you don't have to shell out $50 a pop for bras.

Ok, so my mom had breast augmentation. She was extremely self conscious all her life, and this was quite probably the one and only completely selfish (and I don't mean that in a bad way) thing she did her entire life. She has always given, given, given, so this was for her.

Anyhow, she went from a small A to a full C, and in retrospect, wished she had gone to a D cup. The full C is pretty proportionate to her body, but she could have gone a little larger without messing that up. (she's 5'4", about 125 lbs.)

I don't think a DD would be too large for you, given your measurements. But really, it's completely up to what you want. Just mentioned that my mom wished she had gone a tad larger, instead of being conservative, since she won't do it again. In any case, what size are you now? Because if you're already a B, you aren't going to go through breast augmentation to get a C cup. So how large you go has something to do with where you are now, also...

I'm a natural DD, and I'm 5'2", 135lbs. My boobs don't look small, but I don't think in looking at me that you'd think they're that big.

If you're going from a B to a DD, then yes, I think that's too drastic. It will be quite obvious to people you know, and I think that the goal is to look natural, right?

Do you want to look proportionate or disproportionate?
Awkwardly top heavy and obvious or not?

I did the opposite - had a breast reduction from 32 HH to a 32 DD. I was 5'7" at the time and I asked my surgeon to make me a C cup. He said it wouldn't look normal on me. Then I lost a lot of weight, so breast went down to a C anyway :) After successfully nursing 3 kids, the girls came back. I am now 5'6", my feet are a size bigger from 9 to 10 and my boobs are back in their DD's.

There is NOT a day goes by that I do not wish my boobs were smaller. For all the reasons already pointed out below. I have chronic neck pain, which is a leftover from before, still have to wear stupidly huge supportive bras with thick straps and backs. They are just a nuisance in the heat with all the sweating. Even so called 'support bras' for working out don't really provide the support I need for sports. Any kind of running and jumping has finally just slipped by the wayside and I have switched to only no impact sports.

That is my experience with real DD boobs. Do fake boobs weigh the same? If they do, then do your homework. Or you'll be constantly adjusting your backs/hips/shoulder to accomodate the new weight.

Get ready for back and shoulder pains....Do not go bigger than size C.
