YES! :-) We tried to get pregnant for one year - no luck. I went for my first acupuncture session, followed up with a second session the next day and later that week we conceived...9 months later we were parents! We kept in touch with the clinic and they said it wasn't the first time they helped a couple conceive through acupuncture. Some people say coincidence, some say it was definitely the acupuncture. You have nothing to lose by trying it - only something to gain. So, why not?

Krystyn - I posted a similar question this past spring. Most of the responses I received were negative. However, I scheduled a session and the appt. just happened to be during my fertile window. I had just had back to back miscarriages last year. I don't know if it was coincidence or not, but I did conceive at that time and am now 13 weeks along with everything looking good so far. Accupuncture assists with giving your body energy. I am wondering if it helped with the conception and implantation so that everything worked out correctly. Good luck if you go - I think it is worth a try if you have had difficulty with fertility.

A friend of mine swore by acupuncture for her successful IVF pregnancy. She then used it for her second and it was successful as well. She's always referring her acupuncturist! Good luck!

I did except I wasn't planning on any more kids. When I told my friends how much the acupuncture helped me they said that I should mention to people about the extra side effect...LOL

I know someone whose daughter had it work for her. Why not try? It couldn't hurt (aside from the needles :D ), and it's way less expensive than fertility treatments.

A girlfriend having secondary infertility (3 miscarriages, several failed rounds of IUI etc.) started acupuncture as she was preparing for IVF (she was supposed to start her first cycle a month or two later) and got pregnant naturally and had her son. I had some experience with IVF when I was a gestational carrier and it seemed that at the clinic I went to, acupuncture was recommended/prescribed as a standard part of treating infertility for many women.

My acupunturist had MANY clients he assisted. He's studied in China and pointed out how many people live in China and most got for acupunture. Hmmmm, something to think about.

I personally LOVE the treatments. Those "needles" are awesome. They are the diamater of two human hairs and don't hurt at all. In fact they tingle more than anything. The best places are in the ears, hands and feet.

I can't wait for my son to go to school so I can start my treatments again. :)

My friend did. She had a successful pregnancy, then had two miscarriages. After the second one, she did acupuncture and got pregnant again - carried a healthy baby boy to term.

Her acupuncturist also prescribed her herbs to take and made changes to her diet.

Good luck.

I can't guarantee that it was from the acupuncture, but I did get pregnant with my first child after a full month of acupuncture. I am a huge proponent and think that, at the very least, it really did kind of calm me down and lower my stress levels - which definitely helps when you're trying. We had several issues to content with fertility-wise, but we ended up getting pregnant without any medical intervention and I think the acupuncture allowed me to stay calm and let things happen. I know it's so annoying when people say, "You just need to stop thinking about it." That's impossible, and I'll be the first to say it, but the acupuncture did help me take it down a few notches:) Good luck!

YES!!

I did IVF 3 times and the 2 I did with acupuncture resulted in pregnancy (though the 2nd time the pregnancy didn't survive).

I'm not much of a "wholistic" person, but firmly believe in this!

Good luck!

Too scared to try. But I've heard others have had some luck with it. I'm sure it depends on the reason for the infertility.
