Do anyone know where I can take my 2 year old for dance and/or gymnastics lessons? She likes to play dress up and dance around the house.

Thanks to everyone for the great advice. I called a few places, most of them don't sign up new students until September, so I will have to wait. The ones that took at any time was a little costly. Thanks for the tips.

Not sure where you are located but my daughter has been in dance for 8 years...she is currently at Dallas Powerhouse of Dance - home of the Dallas Mavericks Dancers just off of the Tollway. Also a great dance studio in Bedford called Doubletake - my nieces went there, one is a Cowboys Cheerleader the other is a Mavericks Dancer. Gymnastics - All Star Gym in Carrollton is awesome and affordable! I'm sure she'll love all of it if she's a girly girl like mine.

When my siblings and I were younger, my mom put us in dance & gymnastics classes at Mountain View College. We had a GREAT time. I just had my first daughter (she's almost 4 months old) and when she gets old enough, I'm planning on putting her in classes there. You can contact any one of the Dallas County Community Colleges for more information about it. The website is www.dcccd.edu or www.mountainviewcollege.edu

Hope this helps!!!

Hi Lakeisha,

The Little Gym in Plano (at Preston & Lorimar, North of Parker Rd.) is WONDERFUL! I enrolled my daughter last April when she was 3 and very interested in dance. The Dance classes there are 15 minutes of tap, 15 minutes of ballet, and then 30 minutes of gymnastics. She absolutely LOVES it and has come a long way in the year she has been there. There are several time slots to choose from. Miss Stephanie is my daughter's teacher--she is WONDERFUL and has been dancing her whole life. All of the teachers there are extremely patient and kind. I would recommend The Little Gym of Plano to everyone--it has been a wonderful experience for my daughter (socially and physically) and is very reasonably-priced. They will even let your daughter attend a trial class before you enroll, to see if you both like it.

Hope this helps! Good luck in your search!

Have a wonderful day!

Not sure where you're located, but my daughter is 2 (she also loves to dress up and dance around!!) and she takes a tumble class at Calico Kids in Garland. The have tons of other classes, ballet, tap, cheer, etc. Their webpage is www.calicokids.net. Good luck!

Lakeisha where do you live? I moved here about 18 months ago also and am in need of "grown up" conversations too. I dont have much family here. I work at a school in South dallas that offers praise dance classes, african drumming and dance classes etc. email me at ____@____.com and we can talk. I would love to hear from you. I have a daughter also but she is nine so I went thru what you are going thru.Talk to you later!

Travinos in Desoto is the best. They have a mommy and me class for your daughters age. They have so much fun. All the teachers are really great with the kids.
