Acai Berry & Colon Cleanser

I co workers doctor subscribed "Metformin ER" and it does clean you out, it is used to lower your blood sugar, but it sure does clean your colon. My friend has lost 40 lbs and was not even on a diet. Her doctor used this drug as a diabetic preventive. Well, when I went to a new doctor he also prescribed it for me and I am not even close to being a Diabetic and lost 10 lbs.

Personally I've never tried them, and here's why.

There are to many reports on the consumerist and the ripoff report about these things. It might work for some people, but the sales tactics, and shady 'return policy' just screams scam.

For weight loss, my kids have been a great motivator. It helps they prefer healthy snacks and a lot of fruit in their daily diet, not to mention they help keep me on track. Especially after my recent gall bladder fiasco. It started acting up, and so the doctor suggested surgery OR changing my diet and exercise habits to prevent the surgery.

Personally I'm happy in my skin, but wouldn't balk at losing another 20lbs, tone things up a bit. Every evening we go for a family walk, the kids help pick up trash in the neighborhood, learn about bugs, trees, you name it. It's really nice for bonding time, and there's a learning aspect, and at the end we realize we've walked almost three miles and never even noticed. I do have an herbal regime I follow that helps curb the appetite while benefiting the rest of my body. But it's really only for those who can stomach 'horse pills'. Heh.

Good luck, do what's healthy and works for you, and don't fall for the quick fix scams.

I tried it too, and got charged 79.90 at the exact 30 day mark. I only took the pill for 3 days, then quit when I had really bad cramping. I sent the remaining pills back and they did credit me back, but it took another 30 days.
There are alot of cleansing programs out there. I haven't tried any more myself. There is one with apple juice, there is another one with cayenne pepper.
I have been reading alot lately about CLEAN EATING. Taking out all the processed foods and only using natural ingredients. I have found a magazine and a book both from Hastings Book store. I know that what I really need is to exercise, and I am working on it. Gonna start tomorrow!!!!

While I have heard that acai berry and cleaning out your system is good - do not order online!!! Scam, Scam, Scam! Can't get ahold of them to cancel, did not get the product and they signed me up without my knowledge for other memberships that I had never heard of

A., this is not answering your question but my personal trainer and I were just talking about dieting on Tuesday. She said she has a ton of clients ask what the best cleansing products are and she said the best thing you can do for yourself is drink nothing but water for 2 days. I personally do not have the will power to do any sort of cleansing program but maybe this is what you mean by "can't do it alone." Anyway, just thought I'd pass that along to you.

they were alright but it did not make you lose weight it will just make you use the bathroom, i took them at night and in the morning thats when it help me the acai berry mad me feel really sick so i stop taking them one of my co-workers said that it will make you stomach hurt for a minute but you will have to keep taking them so it mad me so sick so i just did not take them anymore and i had another co-worker that order some when i order mine and she said that she could not take them cause they mad her sick and i told her that is how they mad me feel but they may not make you sick, it may not make you feel sick i did like them and i have 4 bottle (brand new ) sitting on my dresser.

I do not know about the Acai Berry but I've heard of the Herbalife products being good for weigh lost. Also, I just heard of a Artichoke liquid that is helping my mom lower her sugar levels and helped her lose 4 kilos in one month. It's all natural and have no side effects. I am about to try it.
You can google it. You'll find it digestible or in shots. My mom drinks it with her tea every morning. Her doctor (in Mexico) told her just to be careful with her sugar levels because it may lower her sugar too much (she's diabetic). Not sure where you can find it in the US but I think you can order it online. If you want I can send you a feedback after I try it myself which I can't wait. Anyway, I just wanted to share this info. with you.

Hi A., I tryed the Acai Berry product and it made my stomach hurt. I have taken a OTC med daily for stomach problems but it did not help this problem so when I realized it was the Acai berry I stopped taking it. Of coarse everyone is different so you may not have the same problem..... The thing I have found that works and is safe is Weight Watcher's. I have been a member since January of this year and have lost 40 pounds so far just by eating good healthy meals. This is my 3rd time to join and I think that finally my mind set is where it needs to be and this time that I will get all my weight off and keep it off. Anyway you might think about going that route instead of the pill route. Good luck with your weight loss.

I have not done the cleanse. I looked into it, but I didn't want to give my credit card info and have them bill me every month or whatever they do. I do have a friend who did the lemonade cleanse/diet and had lots of success. It is a cleanse and jump start. I don't know much about what it entails. I know she didn't eat solids for two weeks. My husband and I got together a group of friends who were interested in losing weight and we had a little "Biggest Loser" competition. Each person put in $30 and we weighed in every week for 12 weeks. It was a great motivator. I lost about 12 pounds, but my husband lost around 40. We are continuing the good habits we started. Get a buddy. I currently meet a friend at the park with my portable DVD player and we exercise while the kids play. A good healthy diet lifestyle/change is the Abs Diet. It has great recieps and tells you exactly what to eat for a week. It's all about making better choices. It is a realistic diet. Good luck!!

I had the same experience as one of the other ladies - the company is a rip-off so be careful. Just Google them and you'll see all the bad experiences people have had with them. Go with a reputable doctors office or other.

I tried them both Acai Berry I am still taking love that. It helps you go regular not so bad don't over take one half capful will do. I put mine in a cup of hot water add lemon and drink it like a tea. Really great. I have not lost weight but I eat very well. I don't know which Acai berry source Dr. Oz was referring to. I think if you go to Oprah's official website, you can look up the article on it.

I've always heard to get a work out buddy. That way you are not only obligated to yourself, but someone else too and it may help you keep on schedule. My neighbor walks for an hour every night with her husband (5 days week). She eats a light dinner and has lost 35 lbs. since January.

5 mini meals a day has kept my sister at 130 lbs. for most all her life. She's 50 now so it helps her metabolism. She's a MAJOR portion control person but it works.

A cleanse is a wonderful way to jump start your weight loss! Although I have not done the Acai Berry before, what I DO do is Herbalife products. All I know is that it WORKED for me! I have lost over 50 lbs and have kept it off for over 6 years now. When I first started out, I did a 21 Day Clease that they have, and I really loved it because it did not leave me chained to the toilet. No cramping and my sleep was not interrupted! It just goes and "roto-roots" out your intestines AND still replenishes with nutrients while getting rid of the bad stuff. ;) I would love to talk to you about this if you are interested....

I tried it and it did nothing but give me terrible stomach cramps before diahrrea every morning.I did this religiously for the 30 days. I went on line and did the free trial for 30 days. You only have to pay $5.00 for shipping. Well be careful because after 30 days they charged my card and sent me more. One of them was $85.00 and the other one was $65.00. After charging my card it took about 3 weeks to get here and thats when I found out what they did. It does not state on there anywhere (on the trial) that they will continue to charge you, so be careful. I got the charges reversed but it took a while and 2 calls to the company.
I have found that eating more often but less servings and a 30 minute walk each day has worked wonders for me. I have lost over 20 lbs by doing that. Good luck to you.
