B.....Absolutely...positively.... It did no harm what soever to my girls and it did not become something they needed much more than past the age of 4 or 5. They are 13 and 16 now and I personally never had any problems. I left one on their crib so when I went to breast feed in the middle of the nite I could see to pick them up...and when they went to big girl beds.... as soon as they could voice they wanted a lite ,I made a big deal on them helping pick out the one they wanted. good luck...M. Hi there,

I am a mother of 2 and grandmother of 5 and I have always left a light on in the house at night just as my mother always did. I use the ones that just plug in an outlet and come on at night and shut off in the daytime. They are safe and even this old lady likes a little light on in the room so I don't stumble if I have to get up during the night for any reason.

I say if it makes your child feel more secure and safe what can it hurt? Never had any effect on me unless you would say I still like a night light! LOL!

God Bless,
D.

My toddler has been very insistent on sleeping in the dark. I am thankful for this. Sleeping regularly in lighted conditions is linked to some health problems, including behavior problems, nearsightedness and even certain cancers.

I keep nightlights on if both of my kids rooms. My children are 8 and 11, and sometimes need to get up and go to the bathroom, or get a drink. I have nightlights in the bathroom, and in the kitchen for this reason as well.

My boys are 6 1/2 & I have a very low-light nightlight in each room - when they were infants & cried, I could go see what was up without the harsh lamp on, and now that they use the bathroom at night, they can see where they're going without having to turn on the lamp.

I do leave a night light on for my daughter. She is 5 years old and does leave her bed for my bedroom often in the night. I started the light back when she was an infant because I know when they are awake in the middle of the night, thing tend to look a lot scarier then they would with a light.

My girls have a night-light that comes on when it gets dark.
I have them in the bathrooms too. I like the house to be lit during the night incase they need to go to the bathroom. We also leave the living room light on during the night.

I turn the night light on when my daughter goes to sleep and off when I get up in the morning. Just in case she has to go to the potty during the night she can see... She is 4 and we have only been using the night light a few weeks. I used to keep a lamp in the hall on but i fugured this would be cheaper in regards to my electric bill...lol.
