Hi Carlisa. I too am looking for other moms to have fun with. My family moved here about a year ago and I have yet to make any "friends". My son is a little older than yours, he's 2, however, he could use some other children to interact with as well. I am a RN, fortunate enough to work weekends by pager. You might want to try a Gymboree class, they involve the parents and the toddlers. My 4 month old and I just started and we are enjoying it. I know there are more things to do for toddlers, like MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) and other play groups. At Babies R US there was a KIDS Directory (the store in Henderson) and it is a local directory handbook of stuff going on. You might even want to try the library, there are story time days and stuff like that.

I know with your work schedule it may be hard to meet quality friends with little kids. I wanted to suggest finding a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program. I'm not sure if you are fimilar with them. Moms get together and have mom time. At our MOPS, we also schedule play dates. THe kids range from newborn, to around 5 years. Some moms are married and some are single. I could get you the information about the one I am a part of if you would like?!

Well wish I had a good referral or advice for this. But the best I've found is just close friends who have children, and then we just have barbacues or such so the kids can interact. My son is 8 months old, and I try to get him around kids as often as possible, cause he's just enthrawlled with people his size. LOL. Good luck!

i take my daughter who just turned 3 to the meadows mall a lot...they have a nice indoor play area...and of course, the disney store...lol
