My 2 year old daughter put A & D in her hair. Does anyone know the best way to get it out?

thanks

What can I do next?

I can't tell you how many times my daughter did this!!! I tried everything to get it out. Dawn dish soap did not work. This will sound strange, but the only thing I found that worked was that "Gojo" hand cleanser stuff that mechanics use to get grease off their hands. It is a little hard on the hair, but it works. I would follow it up with a good conditioner and let it soak in for a little while. I'm sorry to hear that my daughter isn't the only child to do this! Hopefully she'll only do it once ;)

Dish soap! Be careful of her eyes.

I would say that time and repeated washings should take care of it. I can remember my youngest daughter bathing herself in vaseline, it took a LOT of repeated washings to get it all out!!
Good luck

My niece put vaseline in her hair and I think my sister used Dawn (or probably any brand would work? ) dish soap... it is supposed to get the grease out! Good luck!

just wash it out real good wont harm her

sorry but that is just too funny. I know not for you. and I dont know how to get it out.

Probably like having vaseline in her hair so it's going to take several washings to get it out. I agree with trying the dish soap just be super careful of her eyes. Otherwise it will eventually wash out on it's own but will probably take several days.

My friends 2year old did the same thing. We used dawn dish soap and it was gone. Good luck!
