I'm 8 weeks along right now and I don't feel like I'm prego @ all aside from the fact that I'm always tired. I'm just curious if there are othe ladies that have gone through this as well. Also, for the last couple of weeks I've been spotting. I've heard it's normal, but would like to know if it has happened to others out there as well! I like to be reassured that other people do experience the same things! Thanks ladies! :)

I spotted too and it was scary (first pregnancy). It was all fine in the end and I have a beautiful 2 year old girl. Don't worry..enjoy the pregnancy.

I am 12 weeks pregnant today and I just got done saying the same thing to some of my friends and husband. I have 2 daughters and I really never felt "pregnant" until the clothes started to not fit and the baby started to move. I think that is a totally normal feeling. If it wasn't for the doctor, the blood test, ultra sound, and positive pregnancy test I wouldn't even know. Oh, and the morning sickness. Hang in there and before long you will feel it.

Louise,
You're one of the lucky ones! I, too, didn't feel all that different besides the tenderness in the breasts and feeling tired. I'm sure everything will be fine. Thank God you don't have morning sickness like so many other women do. If you're still uneasy, go get seen by your OB/GYN. It will put your mind at ease. Congratulations!

The spotting is from the egg implanting in the uterus, its normal. Also with my son, I had a wonderful pregnancy, except being tired and hungry all the time. With my girls, I had the nausea/vomitting, tired, no appetite for the first trimester.

I also spotted during two of my pregnancies. One pregancy I spotted and miscarried. The other pregnancy I spotted and delivered a healthy baby girl. Just be sure to let your OB know. They did an ultrasound on me both times while I was spotting. Good luck. Babies are truly a blessing and a miracle.

Hi Louise,
I felt the same way when I was prego. I felt very tired the first 8 weeks, could have slept through them all. The spotting could be normal, But call your Doc. They will probable want to check on you before your frist scheduled appointment. Rest what you can. Congrats. G.

I think the only time it might be worrisome (and even then, not necessarily) is if you DID feel pregnant (for example, had breast tenderness or nausea) and don't anymore. Otherwise I wouldn't worry--even about the spotting which can be quite normal. Good luck!!

First off congrats. It is very normal for some women not to feel like they are prego, I dont get my period like most s with my last child I was almost 6 months alon before I knew I was prego. As far as spotting it is fine if it becoms more than just spotting I would let your doctor know just to be on the safe side. By the way get usd to being tired its gong to last for a while, just try to get as much rest as you can all of your energy is going to your baby. Best of luck to both of you.

Hello, with both of my children I had a period the first month after getting prego. I can honstly tell you I was 8 mts along and would have never know it other than the size of my belly & the movement. I never experienced any symptoms as most do with either of my two children. no morning sickness, heartburn, fatigue or anything. I was one of the lucky ones. I never spotted but like I said when I was 28 days along I had a 3 day peroid, It was like break-through bleeding. Hope this helps, if you are concerned call your OB nurse, she may want to do a hcg test to make sure it is where it needs to be.

With the first one (BOY) I was really sleepy the first few months then after that I felt better than I ever have in my life.
The second and third, (BOYs) I never felt tired, never sick, had energy like you wouldn't believe and was ready to take on the world. Never felt any symptoms of pregnancy EVER.

20 yrs after the first one... when I was 45, I finally divorced the devil and married an angel from heaven. We had a baby of our own... (GIRL) I was sickish with her. Not so much tired as just bla and could't get going. My back hurt really bad. I never threw up but a couple of times but I felt like I wanted to many times.

Since my wonderful feelings when I was pregnant, I have heard of many that felt better when pregnant than they did normally. So I think it is to each his own..... if you know what I mean.

Good luck..... happy pregnancy.. enjoy every bit of it.

Oh yeah... I had a tinge of spotting with just about everyone of them at different times. Now it was a tinge left on my underware that I noticed ....not really spotting....just slight discoloration. That was with every single one of them.
bye... and good luck.

Even the pregnancy books say that many women don't really feel pregnant until about the fifth month. I didn't think I'd ever get pregnant, and when I did with the first one it took me a long, long time to believe it, and even then I was just sure I'd miscarry or something. He is now 6yo, and I'm expecting #3 - still hard to believe. I would let the doc know about the spotting. Get lots of rest if you're tired - it's ok!

As a Mom of 3 I never "felt" pregnant in the beginning, but was also tired as you describe. I didn't ever spot, but my sister-in-law did. She freaked out, but her entire pregnancy was totally normal and she has a beautiful little boy. I have also had other friends who had spotting in the very beginning with no problems in their pregnancies. Enjoy your pregnancy and don't stress too much. I think the stress is worse on the baby than anything else.

My first and second pregnancies felt totally different. My first one, I "felt" pregnant; my second one, I didn't. I've never had spotting with either one, though. I'm not sure what could be done this early if something's wrong -- you may want to talk to your midwife or doctor about it.

First let me say by congratulations on the little one on the way! I hope you have a easy and wonderful pregnancy. I did not feel pregnant at first, minus throwing up during months 3 and 4. I had a very easy pregnancy. I did have some light spotting in the beginning, but the dr said that was normal. If you have heavy bleeding I would check with your doctor. Hope all goes wonderfully!

Hi Louise
I'm not really sure how to advise, but just make sure your OB is aware of the spotting. Have you had an appt yet? Two months into pregnancy you should be getting checked if you haven't yet. It is concerning that you don't "feel prego". Please make sure you talk with your OB.

When I carried my 1st child,I did not feel like I was "prego" either. I also spotted for the first 3 months. I just did not feel like I was carring a child until I started to show and feel the baby kicking. So, don't worry too much about it and be sure your Dr. My second pregancy, was a different story because I ended up with twins, and started showing at 2 months.
Good Luck!

My last child I did not know until I was 10 weeks along. I spotted too and was in denial. I would say by that 10th week I definatly started feeling pregnant. I began showing and the nausea started.
If your really concerned i would contact your doctor.

Girl, don't sweat it....that is really a blessing....:)...I have tow children and with my second one I would have never known I was pregnant if it had not been for the absence of my period....8 weeks is still very early and everyone experiences pregnancy differently.....I certainly learned that my two pregnancies were nothing alike.....On the other hand spotting is normal, but I would still talk to my doctor just to be sure that you and your bundle are ok.....
Blessings to you

Congratulations on being pregnant again! I am pregnant right now with my second baby and I didn't feel like it either at first. I didn't have any of the symptoms that told me I was pregnant the first time. I think each time is just different. I started feeling more pregnant after a few weeks of finding out...that's when the nausea set in. As far as the spotting...my sister went through the same thing. She ended up having a cyst on her ovary, but apparently it's not a big deal. The spotting supposedly came from the cyst. My sister is actually 14 weeks pregnant right now and doing fine. She's had a couple of ultrasounds already (she's considered high risk for other reasons) and the baby is doing great! So the things you're going through sound normal to me. But, at the same time, I would go to the doctor and have the spotting checked out just to be safe. Good luck, I hope your pregnancy goes well!

I'm the exact same way. I'm 7 weeks and wouldn't know anything was different besides the fact I haven't got my period in a while. I think we may be on the lucky side of things. I'd much rather not feel pregnant than be throwing up every day- no thanks! As far as being nervous you don't have some maternal bond with this one...give it another month or two...you'll start showing and then the best part- you'll feel the baby move..it'll all come back to you. Congrats!

I didn't feel pregnant either. I hardly had any morning sickness. I would gag when I brushed my teeth but other than that I was not sick. You are too early in your pregnancy to be feeling fluttering so don't worry. I'll be willing to bet that you are having a boy. Most women that are having girls say that they are so sick. I think it is from too much estrogen in their bodies. The one thing that I do remember is that I could smell every odor and it was amplified by a thousand. I even smelled cigarette smoke when I was in my car one day and looked around and the guy in front of me was smoking. (My windows were up and my A/C was off)

i didn't feel pregnant either...IT WAS WONDERFUL! just put your feet up and make up false ailments for the next 6 months :) The only thing i experienced in the first trimester was being extremely tired (which my husband didn't understnad) and I would have a wave of nausea that lasted about 30 sec every night.
