7 Yo Needing Bra?
I just noticed on my 7yo that she is developing a little not as flat as she used to be, more like her nipples are sticking out. I don't remember how old I was when I started wearing a bra. My mom has passed away and can't ask her for help. We went and looked but ended up buying camies. Any one else with this problem and what did you do. I know the little bras goes by size, I just think she is to young for one right now.

This is normal pre-pubescent nipple development. You probably don't need a bra per se, one that supports an actual breast. Just what you bought, a little camie or undershirt to protect her nipples from rubbing if they are that sensitive.

Cammies are fine for now.
Medical research has shown that young girls
are showing signs of puberty at younger ages nowadays,
in part because of the hormones in our food.
She probably won't __need__ a bra for another year or two.
But you may want to talk with her about the changes in her breasts,
just very minimal introductory conversation about how our bodies
change as we grow older.
Maybe check at your public library for age-appropriate books
on this subject.
Good luck.

Well if you don't want her to have a grown up bra, get a training bra or a sports bra. She's going to grow up at some point whether you like it or not. Yes, 7 is young but you can't stop what had been put into place. I would also try switching to organic milk since a lot of people think that the homones in the milk are causing early puberty.

Fourth or fifth grade. Not at age 7. If she develops further, I'd recommend taking her to the doctor and ask for her hormones to be tested. It's too early for her to be developing breasts.
Good luck,
D.

I believe this is just growth you are seeing in her.
I noticed something like this in my daughter around the same time , she's now almost 9 and does not have breasts or buds yet.
I think it's normal.
Question: was she cold when you saw her? That could have been it.

the little camie's are great.. try a stretchy bra... they sell them in the kids section of stores, like sears, kohls, marshalls... these are little stretch ones.. all cool colors.... good for starting.. all kids develop at different ages.. mine just started to wear one at 12.

sports bras. they are not so much "bras". that may be better for her mentally. my 12yrold still just wears those. she has bras, but likes these better. matteroffact, so do I.

We went from camis and tanks with the built in "bra" then onto the "bras" that looked like half tank tops. That seemed to be a good transition for all of my girls, and the tanks are popular so it seems more stylish than like a bra.
