6 Year Old Boy's Birthday Party...
My son's birthday is in the middle of summer. We are thinking of mini-golf and pizza party, not really any specific theme. My son has 2 girls in school he got along with pretty well. Is it better to have an all boys party or invite a couple girls too?
Thanks.

Thanks moms! I will invite ALL his friends to his birthday celebration.

My answer is the same. Invite his friends regarless of gender. My daughter always had and still has (she's 11) friends of both sexes. She's been invited to quite a number of boys' birthday parties where she is either the only girl from school or one of a very few. She's always gotten along great with boys (at least in part because she has a 14 year old brother). She frequently plays sports at recess with the boys because she enjoys it. They let her play because she's good. It's a great opportunity for kids to learn how to be friends with the opposite sex.

Hello, I would invite all of his friends including boys and girls. Kids don't really care if friends are boys or girls at that age. They just have friends.
Good luck with your precious son.

It doesn't matter what the gender is.
Girls can play/do what your theme is too.
And they are his friends.

Its okay to invite girls. My 9y old boy still has co-ed parties because his 2 closest friends are a boy and girl from the same family.

It looks like majority rules! Boys and girls together. I also use the "years = number of guests rule" it keeps everything in line.

Invite girls too if you want, just keep the guests to the same number as his age. I.e. he's 6, so 6 guests.

My son's 7th party was about 8 boys and 2 girls (plus 2 of the boys brought their sisters). It was fine. The kids had a great time. They all go to school together. Definitely invite all his friends, not just boys.
