5 Year Anniversary Gift Ideas?

Hello ladies. I'm celebrating my 5 year wedding anniversary with my husband on Friday! I've been so busy with the two kids and a new house that I just have not had any time to think about getting him anything. I don't even know what the traditional 5 year anniversary gift is supposed to be. Do any of you have any suggestions on something I could do for him that would really WOW him? I'm not very creative, but I want to do something fun and memorable for him. Time is running out, so it's gotta be something fairly simple since most of my time is consumed by our children.
Thanks in advance, T.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks to everyone who responded to my request. They were all great ideas. Since the traditional 5 year anniversary gift is wood, I went with a simple wooden gift. My husband had mentioned before that he wanted a nice mantel clock once we bought our new house, so I figured what a better time to get it then now, since we're in our new house, and it was traditional and symbolic! He loved it and was very happy that I had remembered that he wanted one.
Now, I have several great gift ideas for the next five years that I can start preparing for now, scrapbooks, trips, songs etc...
Thanks again!

I dont know if this is feasible with a 20 month old but you could take him to a hotel maybe down at the beach and get a couples massage. Would be kinda expensive though.

WOW...this is a good request...I had to think about that...
I dont know what you are thinking, or what you have to spend, Does he like football? What about getting him 2 tickets to a game...I dunno..steelers or philly???? Maybe he doesnt even like them...LOL I dont know what 5 yrs is to be either....Maybe take some funny and silly pics of the kids, and have someone take funny pics of you, and make a little scrap book for him, and title it..."Happy Annyoumakemecrazyforyou"..instead of the traditional happy anniversary. I dont know..i am still thinking...LOL

my husband loves the photo mugs you can get at concord mall kiosk or order online at photo websites. i get the kids on it with some cute saying. they have keychains, snow globes, calendars.... he wants to replace all our coffee mugs with photo mugs now!!!it takes a few days online but at the mall it is about 15 minutes- so great for last minute!!!
we do the photo calenders for grandparent presents every year. - very easy and very cute...
good luck, E.

First congradulations ,my idea i would do is a little creative but simple i would gather some photos of you and your husband from the past few years and make a photo album of you togther thru the years start with maybe some pics from dating then maybe some wedding pic then the birth of a child and so on dosnt have to be a huge book and you can go to Big lots for scrapbooking things that are very cheep, let me know what you decided to do and have a great anniversary!!!!

You could go to your local craft store and get one of the frames that are amde up like a collage . Put special pictures from your wedding day or you could do special events that happened during the 1st 5 years of your marriage . example your wedding, the birth of your children, your home and then do it again in another 5 years and see hpw you have grown as a family and a couple

Congratulations and have a great time!

Sorry if this is late. There is an online catalog www.signals.com and you can order a picture of the night sky on the day you were married, in your city. I did it for my husband for our first anniversary and we have it hanging in our living room. It even comes with a chart to identify the major constellations and stars. I am ordering one for my son's first birthday, too. My husband loved it. Congrats and good luck! S.

The traditional 5 year gift is wood and the modern is silverware. However, I don't think most men would care to get forks as a gift! I just bought my husband this cool digital keychain for his birthday.

If that link doesn't work, go to eBay and search for Digital Photo Keychain.

My husband loves his! Before I gave it to him, I opened it up and loaded it with pictures of the kids and I. He's gone a lot for work (Military) and takes it on all his missons.

Just an idea. Hope you are able to find something soon!
