I am now 5 days late on my period. I am very regular, anywhere from 26-28 days. I have taken many HPT, all negative. I had a blood test done today, also negative. I took 100mg of clomid last cycle so now I am a bit worried about cysts. I have a bacterial infection currently and am taking a 7 day antibiotic. I had period-like cramps when my period was due. Now I am extra sleepy, lower back aches, and slighly nauseous. I do have some white/clear discharge as well. My husband and I have been TTC for over a year. I am hurt very much that this is happening, feels like a cruel joke. Please let me know if you have been through something similar and how it turned out!

What can I do next?

I was never on clomid, but 1 time 2 years ago I skipped a month.....had all those simptoms you are having, .....went to the doc, everything was normal, just no period. The doc said those things happen sometimes for no reason. However I also had couple of friends who did not know they were preg till they were 4-5 months along since blood test kept coming back negative Docs said those things happen too, will just have to wait and see.
I hope you'll get the positive:)

Last year, I had some kidney stones. Before the kidney stones were diagnosed and before the results of my urine culture, the doctor assumed I probably had a UTI and put me on antibiotics. I skipped an entire period. I mentioned this to my OB/GYN. He told me that being on antibotics and/or other stresses on your body can cause late or missed periods.

I have not experienced you exact situation. However, I have experienced an illness and antibiotic suppressing my period. The stress on my body made it come late, and I have NEVER been late...except, for my one pregnancy. I wonder, if you aren't experiencing the same thing? If you are really unsure, you might visit your OB and get checked for cysts.

I'm very sorry, you are having a difficult time.

34 years ago I was taking clomid, however I was very irregular so had no idea I could be pregant. This was before ultrasound so when I ended up in ER in sereve pain several times over two months they did do blood test which came back everytime as negative. It wasn't until 3 months later doing exploratory surgery was the etopic pregency found. Needless to say I was very lucky the tube did not burst rather then my baby just dying (talk about a cruel joke). Later I found out from my pharmacist that besides multiple births (which I was aware of) etopic pregency was another possiblity of taking clomid. Except the pain that came and went without any notice (fine one minute curled up in ball in bad pain the next) I had none of the other things you have going on (well until 3 years later when I finally got pregant again and now have a beautiful daughter who turned 29 last Friday). So I don't mean to scare you and with ultasound now days if that is the case or even cysts (which I also had) the doctor whould be able to tell if either of these are a factor easily. The best of luck to you and may you have your little one sooner rather then later.

I didn't test positive until I was about a week late. Give it a few days then test again. Sometimes HCG levels can be low.

I had the same thing happen 5 days late, on fertility drugs (IUI), went in for blood work and it came back w/ a negative... had the office on the phone for longer than needed b/c I just couldn't believe it was negative..... but it was.
