4Th of July Celebrations

Hi all! I would like a list of the different 4th of July celebrations going on in the metroplex. I live in Rowlett, but don't mind driving anywhere. I just want to find a new and fun celebration to go to this year.

What can I do next?

Allen USA celebration HUGE crowd but doesn't feel large b/c of the enormous CELEBRATION PARK where it is located. Allen's celebration is held the weekend before the fourth of JULY so it is a BIG hit. food, tons of kiddo activities/bounce houses/ vendors/ Live MUSIC and of course fireworks at 10 pm. goto www.cityofallen.org and click on Allen USA Celebration. held on Sat. June 28 kids activities starting at noon until after fireworks....
The music and fireworks are FREE but the kids activites (crafts/ bounce houses cost $ it might be better/cheaper to get a wrist band early for $20 or $25 the day of ... I think the bounce houses are 2-3$ each and i am unsure of crafts price see website for info. or wrist band location/park
$ from the wrist band sales goto charity! :) etc....)

The Plano Parade is a lot of fun. We have enjoyed that for years. Last year, my daughter and a couple of friends wanted to be in it so we signed up, I drove my little red miata while they gave out candy to people.

It was so much fun, we are going to be in it again this year!

Plano has a fireworks celebration but I think it moved from the previous years. We go to Gleneagles country club to see fireworks. The girls like to go there, swim, and then we watch the fireworks from the driving range.

City of Allen has a celebration going on the weekend before the 4th which is fun too!!

My family goes to Celebrate Freedom and love it! We've gone for over 8 years. It is sponsored by 94.9 KLTY and will be held at Pizza Hut Park this year. FRI-Sat. (June 27-28)This is thelargest Christian concert in the country. They will have 3 stages this year- one for the bands, one for extreme activities (BMX, skateboarders, Monster trucks), and one kids stage. They have a kid's zone with inflatables ($10 for the day) and free crafts. GREAT fireworks!!

In years past it was at Southfork and we could put up tents, I am not sure how everything will be this year.

Check it out!
