Sorry I know this is too much info. But the last couple days I have been pooping so much. Like 6 times a day. Is this normal? Is it a sign of labor? Im 3 cm and 60% effaced right now.

What can I do next?

I haven't read the other responses yet, but i can say for me that increased bowel movements was definitely a sign of labor. My most recent daughter was 3 weeks early, and I "knew" she was coming early based on my bowels.
Good luck.

Likely. Your body will naturally start to empty out your system to make it easier for the baby to move through the birth canal. A "back up" of stuff, can impede the process, so often, things like enemas are thrown into the mix to help move things along.
You're just going about it the "natural" way. :)

I would say that your body is getting everything ready for labor.

I think your body is just running out of room all over, your colon and your bladder ... you may want to eat smaller easy to digest meals to prevent other digestive issues for the next few weeks.

Normal. Think about it, at 36 weeks there's not a whole lot of room in there for much else!! Good luck, and congrats on the baby!

If baby's head in dropping, it's putting pressure on your bowels. You'll either be going often, or at least feel like you have to. It's also a VERY common sign of labor, so... hang in there, not too much longer mama :)

This can be a sign of labor. You'll only know in hindsight, though. The only way to really know if you're in labor is if you are having contractions that are getting longer, stronger and closer together or if your water breaks.

Your body is just getting itself cleared out for when your labor starts.
I should have known I was getting ready for labor with my second son because I had a pretty good appetite, but for the few days before my labor, I simply couldn't eat anything. I wanted fish, my husband made it. I wanted fruit....I had it. I just couldn't bring myself to take more than a bite or two.
I was at 40 weeks, in fact my son was born two days after his due date.
But I noticed the tummy thing and not being able to eat. It was my body getting ready.
Your body is doing the same thing. Getting ready.
You can be effaced and slightly dilated for some time before active labor begins so it's hard to say if this is the start of labor.
Your body knows what it's doing.

Take care of yourself and let us know when the baby arrives.

Normal. Your body is getting ready for labor! Its not uncommon for the body to clean itsself out before going into labor---all about prepping for the birth. Best wishes on your delivery!
