31 Weeks Pregnant W/ Toxemia

I am 31 weeks pregnant, was diagonsed w/ Toxemia at 28 weeks. I see the dr once a week and go for Nonstress tests 2 times per week. Dr said I have mild toxemia and its under control. But today I went in for my NST and my BP was 174/94 and I have had a headache for the past 4 days that wont go away. Now this evening I seem to be "leaking" fluid of some sort, it doesnt appear to be urine, but it does have a bad odor, is this something I should call the dr for or is it normal to be doing that at this stage in the pregnancy? With my first pregnancy I had no complications it was pretty much perfect and I didnt have to deal w/ anything while pregnant with him, so I feel like im going through pregnancy for the first time.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Hi All! Thank you for your responces. I went to the ER that night. I was NOT leaking amniotic fluid. I guess it was just urine...which seemed odd to me, but they said it wasnt amniotic fluid. But they found I have a bladder infection. My Toxemia is under control and they monitored baby and baby is just fine. Yes I am on bedrest..have been since I was 19 weeks along due to low fluid. I see my DR on Tuesday and we will see what else she has to say! Thank You all for taking the time to reply to me

Go to the hospital now. Toxcemia is very dangerous! I had it when I gave birth and they induced me as soon as they found it.

that is not normal!! RUN TO THE HOSPITAL NOW!!! you are risking stroke with that increases blood pressure. it sounds like your amniotic fluid is leaking. foul smelling amniotic fluid is called chiroamniotis, both you and the baby could get septic (you could go into labor at any time), sepsis can be DEADLY (especially for babies). you need IV antibiotics NOW. RUN NOW, DON'T WAIT.

YES,call you doctor immediatetly and communicate all your symptoms you are having. Your doc will need to know all of these signs and symptoms.

I had toxemia with all 4 pregnancys. Headaches are part of the high blood pressure. Let the dr. know. Toxemia is nothing to mess around with. My 1st was stillborn because of it so don't take it lightly. Stay away from salt! No soups ot Chinese with MSG. Drink lots of water so you can p all the swelling out. Good luck to you honey.

I would definitely call your doctor, just to make sure you are not leaking amniotic fluid, and tell them about your headache too.Good luck!

pls call your doctor right away....

You should definitely see your doctor if you're leaking fluid, especially with a foul odor, it could be a sign of infection.

Hi, youre water broke. If you're not already at the hospital, it's time to go. They'll induce you, which always takes awhile. Bring a good book to read as it's a fairly boring process waiting for your contractions to start.

FYI, my first son was born 4 weeks early after my water broke. There's more and more evidence that babies born a little early develop sensory issues. It often effects touch, like kids who can't stand tags on their clothes. Mine has very sensitive taste issues. He's now 9 and his diet hasn't changed much since he was 3. I don't mean to scare you, just keep an eye out since sensory issues can start showing up early. At least you'll know what's going on vs being inthe dark about it.

The good news is your baby will sleep a lot the first few weeks!

Congratulations!
