Would like to get one of my great friends a birthday gift in a few days for around $30. She is always great about giving good gifts and I would like to give her one equally as good. She is very into fashion but to find something trendy for $30 will be hard to find....any thoughts?

What can I do next?

you can put a cute basket together for her...scarves, gloves, etc. how much time do you have?

You can find a consignment shop near you as well, there are plenty of things in a consignment shop that are new with tags. You just have to look for them.

Does she travel a lot? You can get her a travel bag for her jewelry and maybe buy a piece of jewelry to put in it? I know Macy's is having a great sale on jewelry right now - so you could pick up a brooch, earrings, etc. for a great price!!

A portable/rechargable Bluetooth speaker. It's great to be able to bring music with you wherever you might like to go.

I would try Etsy for unique and beautiful jewelry for lower prices.

You could also take her to a paint-your-own-pottery place for a girl date night (many have byob girls night out nights). I did that for my best friend and she loved it.

I don't know your friend so it's hard to say. Things I have gotten for that price for myself or others? Anything from bath and body works. I love lotions and they are a good quality. It's cold here in Colorado so if it is there too you can never go wrong with a nice scarf/glove set. An appointment or gift card for a massage or mani-peti. Maybe a promise to go do it together. If you are looking for clothes maybe Ross or Old Navy. You can get a tasteful piece for that price especially if you visit Old Navy online where they have sales.
Hope this helps ^_^

This is hard to answer without knowing what she is into....

We have a store called Oil and Vinegar which has all kinds of infused oils and flavored vinegars for cooking. They have pretty display bottles, etc. My favorite things from the store are the Olive wood cutting/display boards and bowls. I love these pieces and they are nice to use to serve cheeses, etc at a party.

Anthropologie has some very nice and unique bath salts and soaps if she loves a relaxing bath.

I am not one to buy clothes or accessories for someone because I just don't know the personal taste.

How about nice gloves? Some type of crystal vase, serving platter, basically, something she would not buy for herself!

I agree about etsy.com. My daughter buys a lot from that site. She recently bought the cutest boot toppers that have her monogram.

Good luck, I am sure your friend will appreciate whatever you do!!

Alex and Ani bracelet?

This is a great time to buy a gift with all the clearances. I personally hate all the bath and body stuff, but would love some fun costume jewelry or scarf. Of course get a gift receipt

the Paper Store has great scarves for $9.99. I just bought some before Xmas and they were "buy 2 get 3rd free". An item she may not have yet is a purse hanger, they sell those at the Paper Store as well - it is a circle with a hinged round hanger that allows you to hang your purse from a table top instead of putting it on the dirty floor.
A pair of nice leather gloves can probably be found at Marshalls for under $30 and those will be needed this season.

Do you have stores near you like TJ max or Ross, or outlet stores? You can often find great things for less in places like that.

At this time of year all the stores have Christmas Merchandise all 50% to 70% off. You can find loads of really good deals. I would go to somewhere like Kohls or J.C. Penney and look. You will be surprised at what you find. I will be going later this week and stocking up on a lot of the gifts for next year.

How about a cool pair of boot socks/cuffs? They are all the rage now. I also second the infinity scarf idea. Maybe a fun umbrella (we never splurge on those ourselves, just stick with the standard black one). A cute, small boutique may have some options, just ask the salesperson for advice or suggestions. Good luck!

A pretty silver ring. She'll think of you every time she wears it.

You could pick out a pretty purse or wallet if you know her style & think
she'll use it.

Or take her out for a celebratory lunch at a cool restaurant & have a
couple of cocktails. She'll remember the experience. You could bring a
card, write a poem about your friendship & bring a little trinket like a
costume jewelry bracelet.

Hello

You have some good suggestions...I too, like teenmom, gave some of the $9.99 scarves from the Paper Store and they were quite the hit (and they like more than $9.99) And she may like something from Bath and Body Works
