3 Year Old Birthday Party - San Bruno,CA

I am trying to find and inexpensive and indoor place to have my daughters 3rd birthday party. Her birthday is at the end of January which makes it hard to have a party outside because it is cold. We live in the Bay Area about 15 minutes outside of San Francisco. She loves Dora and Diego. Any suggestions:)

What can I do next?

Have you tried to look into indoor gym places like Junior Gym or The Little Gym. There's also indoor jump houses like Pump It Up. Good luck.

Sea Bowl in Pacifica has great birthday packages. They have ball ramps to help the kids push the ball. My three year old had her party there and loved it. Bowling at the party was a first most of the kids. Good luck.

Hi,

I am the mother of a 10 year old, and I have a gallery/event space that is perfect for a kids birthday party. It is clean, beautiful, has a restaurant kitchen and is 2,500 square feet. I'm trying to have more kids birthdays, so I could give you a deal if you helped me promote the space by simply telling other moms. I used to be a teacher and a storytelling and I do catering, so I could be hired to do various things at your party.

I recommend going to a party store to get themed party goods, then setting up here (I have tables and chairs for 40) for some kind of arts and crafts project.

Let me know if you are interested.

Why not have it at home? What ever happened to the good old-fashioned, fun and cheap birthday parties at kids' houses? I don't think fancy entertainment should be necessary. Kids can bundle up and go to the park or play in the back yard, if you have one. If your house is too small or has no yard, why not borrow the home of a friend? Then you can take whatever money you would have spent on fancy rentals and put it into your daughter's college fund - arguably a much better investment!

Hi T.,

I think Chuck E Cheese would be great it will keep them busy and the parents can just sit and watch and enjoy pizza. I have the same problem all my kids birthdays are during the cold months. The children should enjoy Chuck E...they are young enough still...Good Luck.

The Palo Alto Junior Museum is a really cool place to take kids and it also has rooms you can rent for birthday parties.
It is like a mini exploratorium and mini zoo together. They only ask for a $2 donation when you visit so I would think that a party would be pretty cheap too. there is also a big playground next door in case you get lucky with the weather.

try the Safari Run. it's a safari- themed playstructure and a play place for little ones. it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's amazing. even a supercute area for the party inside. about 15 minutes outside of sf near burling game. poplar exit...

Make up a map of places to go in the house to get to things - like a prize or the cake or the ice cream...

Print some Dora coloring sheets off-line to color.

Get some Diego books to read - story-time style.

Have a scavenger hunt using a picture sheet for the list of things to find - hide items in the house and provide each child with a small "back-pack" to put their items in
