So What Happened?™
Just a little update. Still sick, but the doctor has given me some vitamins that seem to minimize it a little bit. Wintergreen lifesavors seem to help. I'll keep you posted.

Have you tried the pregy pops? They worked for me and when I couldn't find those I used jolly ranchers. It's the flavors lime, lemon, raz, and ginger that are supposed to minamize morning sickness. So find anything in those flavors and if you can stand it try ginger candy.

Talk to your Doctor about anti-nausea medication. They have safe stuff out there now you can use. I'm 30 weeks and I've been really sick the whole time too. I have a 4 yr old and a 5 year old I'm trying to keep up with and I understand your fears.
Best of luck!

I would suggest getting motion sickness bracelets. Sure, these are commonly used for boating or what not but when I was pregnant my doctor suggested them. They are non evasive, non toxic bracelets you put on your wrists that have a plast knob thing that put pressure on a certain pressure point. You can get them at any sporting goods section of Fred Meyers, Walmart or GI Joes. It's worth a try! Hope this helps.

Wow! no fun for sure. A few of the tricks I learned with my kids: first I bought an alarm clock that can be set for 2 times. I would set the first one about 30 minutes before i needed to get up and I kept a tortilla beside it. When the first alarm went off I would eat the tortilla and then go back to sleep. Which was easy because I was always tired with my pregnancy. then when the second alarm went off 30 minutes later my stomah wasnt empty. I didnt seem to have as much trouble with morning sickness if I didnt let my stomach get empty. Another trick was to just carrry ritz in my bag all day and about every 15 minutes i would nibble one. Again to keep the stomach from being empty. The coke also helped a little if I just took a sip when i was nauseas and layed down on my stomach. But the one that really helped the most for me was the snack before i got up. Good luck.

I am another Zofran mommy. My ms kept me bedridden for months if not the whole pregnancy, with daily appointments for fluid IVs. With my last two (twins) they put me on Zofran and it had only just become avaliable. I lived on it for the entire pregnancy- every 4 hours, and yes, it was expensive (one bottle w/ insurance was 7 pills for $35). BUT my twins were premie (for other reasons) and at 30 weeks were born 4lbs each. Since I couldn't eat at all without it, I really feel I owe thier health to this medication. That said, if you are not this sick, try all of these other suggestions (I did and some worked with my singleton pregnancies) first. And good luck, I am sorry you have to go through this.

When i was preg. i was the same way. my dr. put me on meds. but it didn't work. the one thing that did work for me a little, was COKE. Small sips, a little flat. Along time ago they used to have COKE Syrup you could buy. My pharmacist said that ematrol (nausea syrup) was almost the exact samething as Coke Syrup. I had several older ladies tell me of this. And it truly was the only thing that would settle my stomach. Good Luck and Congrats!

GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!
I lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks so I know from personal experience... You should get Ranitide (to control the stomach acid) and Ibuprofen (to control the pain) and Prothazine (to absorb nutrients and something - DOUBLE CHECK the correct spelling) PLUS get an IV inside you to rehydrate yourself with a special liquid at Silverton Hospital. They're more attentive compared to Salem Hospital. Your body is your own, be kind to it.
I read a posting below that says UNISOM, I don't know what that is. Look into that as well.
