Those that own this type of minivan, can you remove the 8th seat and stow it away like you can on the newer models or is it permanently there?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for trying to help. Yes, the back row of chairs (I guess that would be considered 3rd row? So confusing) folds down into the truck of the car so you actually have the space of a small SUV. However, I am wondering if the middle seat of the 2nd row (behind the drive and shot gun seats) comes out like newer models so it makes quad seats. It's alright though... no big deal. Just curious because I am needing to get a bigger vehicle for our growing family and was looking at this year and model. Thanks!

UPDATE: We bought the van and the dealer figured out how to remove the 8th seat. I LOVE the van!!! Thank you for all of your help!!

I have the 2005 8 passenger van and yes, the middle seat in the second row can come out. All 3 seats in the middle row can come out. There are diagrams on the back of the seats. The manual also has the diagrams. If you have problems, take it to the dealer. Tell them that you need a refresher on how to remove the seats.

Good luck.

Ok. I have an 08 with the 8th seat. The 3rd row folds flat into the back well with a 60/40 split seat. The middle row has three seats. You can take the middle seat out. Which we have done and we store it up on a shelf in our garage. It has no stowable place in the vehicle. It folds down flat but does not tumble forward like the two side seats do. The problem that arises if you have the middle seat in there and car seats by both doors you have no easy access to the 3rd row. Also the side seats are not captains chairs so there are no armrests on either side.

Hi, I have the same body model design - mine's a 2004. I'm assuming they didn't make any significant design changes between 2004-2008. We have the middle row 8th seat and it is definitely removable.

Not 100% sure because I don't own one but I googled it and the interior specs say the third row folds flat to the floor or are you talking about the middle seats? Try googling it. It might depend on what options your van is equipped with and not just standard feature.
