2 Year Old Birthday Party - Kansas City,MO

I am looking for ideas for a 2nd birthday party. His birthday is December 29th so that puts a limit on outdoor activities. Right now I can't afford Chuckee Cheese or Tunnel Town. I don't think he would have enough friends to have a party that big anyways. Any idea would be great!

What can I do next?

Hi M.,
I had a small themed birthday for my daughter but we made most of the things. She helped make the cake (Nemo) and we just let them play while grown ups talked. I passed out small goodie bags with candy and bubbles. You could also take a picture of all the kids in a group an them individually and send them back to the child as a souvenir with a thank you note if you do that. Happy birthday. Oh my second daughter turns two on Saturday and we are basically doing the same. She piced the cake in the store and we are just having some people over to lay for a while.

Have you thought of going to McDonald's for the party? At that age they love to play there and you don't have to clean up. I don't know what kind of cost would be involved. If not too many kids were coming you could just probably go and bring your cake but I'd at least call first.

My boss just had a birthday party for his little boy at the Mission Fire Dept. They were able to get a tour, the kids played on the trucks, etc. for free. Might want to look into that - pretty cool for little boys.

Hi my name is stephanie. I have a three year old boy. Have you been to paradise park in lee summit? It is a lot of fun and my son loves it there. I would only take one or two friends, or just your son. Kids are always there, and packed on weekends. They have waterplay, art room, cooking class, story time and four other rooms for imaginative play. You can easily be there for three hours. I would just have a birthday party at home, and go out for a fun time. It is definitely an educative place. Good Luck ,happy birthday to your little one! Sincerely, Stephanie
