1St Trimester mood...is It Normal That...

I am nauseus 24 hours a day and tired, but I am stressed because I seem extremely impatient with my kids. I also have this heightened sense of irritation with my kids. I find myself not wanted to do things with them, and find them annoying. Is this normal, or a sign of depression?

What can I do next?

Normal. I hated being pregnant. Hated it! If I wasn't throwing up I was nauseous. It's really hard to enjoy life when you're nauseous and just not feeling good. Started to wonder if I'd ever feel normal again.

Love my kids, but just so glad they are not inside me anymore.

Wait...you're in your first trimester, exhausted like never before, and sick constantly...and you find that you have a shorter fuse with your kids that are pestering you for various things and probably fighting....
Weird. LOL

No! Sounds normal to me! Heck, I'm that way with my 2 kids and I'm NOT pregnant!
:)

Congratulations and give yourself a break!

You are as normal as apple pie at a picnic. Cut yourself some slack.

Can you take a nap everyday? When I was pregnant with baby three, I took a nap every day during the 1st trimester. I put the other kids in front of the TV, and I literally just went to bed for 2 hours.

if it is at all possible, go to bed super early at night (i'd go to bed at 8:30! And sleep until 6-7), and take a daily nap. it really helped me with my mood.

You are depleted because you are busy making another human. Sounds normal to me. You are the best judge of you however, if you think that your attitude/ behavior/ mental state smacks of depression, get help.

This is normal. Try to get as much sleep as possible at night. You will be more rested and have less time awake to be nauseous. Talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for Zofran. You should hopefully start to feel better once the second trimester rolls around.
