1St Haircut - Ridgefield Park,NJ

My son is 11 months old and his hair is getting pretty long. Myself I think he looks adorable. I guess my situation is this... My husband keeps telling me that he is going to buzz our sons hair unless I get him a haircut! I know he wouldn't really do it but it bothers him and I'm stuck on what I should do.... any suggestions??

What can I do next?

Just a little update... so far I've been able to hold off on the haircut! I know it will be coming to an end soon, I will miss his long wavey hair!!!

I think you should go to enio the barber - right across from the train station- he also has a little guy and is quite good with him and I don't think he would cut it too short...

Good luck

Hi
not sure where you live, but KIDZKUTS in Woodbridge is where I took my little girl for her first trim...........kids love it.
He should just get a trim if the hair is nice and compliments his face and personality.
The buzz can come later when he is out getting dirt y and sweaty.
Also, Great Clips in Metuchen (Tara) is great with kids......we now go to her as a closer trim place.

hope this helps

hi
I am goign through the same thing, my son has cute curls in the back and it is rather long now. I am a hairdresser so I can jsut cut it my slef whenever, but other then the bangs I have not cut it at all. I think he looks adorable. and now that I cut his bangs,my husband Mostly agrees. try a compromise maybe that will work. It did for me let me know how you make out

Get his hair cut! There's a really cute kid place in Park Ridge called Kool Cuts. It's totally kid friendly. My son HATES getting his hair cut, but this place will put on your child's favorite video to watch while getting the hair cut--my son got to watch Thomas and Friends!
Good luck.

At that age they really can't sit still long enough for a cut, and once you buzz them the hair never looks the same, plus the noise would freak him out. Enjoy the cute look for awhile, and tell the hubby it may be dangerous to put sizzors that close.

C.....I just went through the same thing...sort of....my son was born with a head of hair and by the time he was 5 months old he needed a trim...he looked like Donald Trump...he needed another hair cut at 9 months....with the summer heat he was sweating and his hair was getting in his eyes and it was a mess all the time. One of my friends came along with me when he got his second cut to help me out with my son...I held him while he kept my sons attention...it definitely helped. My son just turned 10 months and needs a little trim....LOL...he has more hair than most guys my age....LOL....just think if your little guy would be more comfortable with a little less hair...and please dont let your husband buzz it....my brother does that w/my nephew and it just is NEVER right....Good Luck...R.
