1St Birthday Party Cake

Hello:

I have a 12 year old daughter and have always used Steins Bakery at Preston and 635. They have been in business for at least 40 years and make wonderful cakes, breads and pastries. I have had my daughter a carousel cake, once I took an M&M figurine in and they made her a blue (fav color) M&M with the white gloves for her 5th B-Day. The whole cake was a round M&M and it is still her favorite. Stein's has a couple of icings, but the butter cream is definitely the best.

I don't remember the cost but it was a little more because it was not their standard. They do have many options so you may want to check them out at some point and time.

Have you tried Delicious Cakes in Addison they are located on Inwood on the right side near the liquor stores.
I didn't do my son's cake there but my wedding cake was done there and they did an AWESOME job which was in Sep 2004.
If you go to they tell them that Michele Graham referred you.

I just attended a 1year olds birthday party 2 weeks ago and they had THE best cake. It was a safari theme -- beautifully decorated AND it tasted great. It came form AJ's bakery on Oak Lawn (which also has great cinnamon rolls). I think they have another location in far north Dallas or Plano too. They had half chocolate and half banana chocolate chip. Both were moist and delicious. (I'm 9 months pregnant -- I tried both!)

I was impressed b/c normally I find cakes look good or taste good, but not both and this one achieved both!

I don't know about the Tom Thumb in Carrollton but I use the one on Arapaho in Richardson. Every year I take a pic of her invites to the lady and she makes the cake to match it perfectly. Then on the day of the party I set the table and have her invitations and the cake right beside it. Always looks really cute!! Good Luck!!
