18 Yo Boys Birthday Party

My son will be 18 and still expecting a party. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you all so much for your great suggestions. We always have a family dinner. My son felt he was disconnecting with friends, they were all so busy and he wanted to spend some time with them. We had done the paint ball, laser tag, amazing race, pool parties before, so I opted for a Texas Holdem Party with Pennies of course and some little prizes. The kids had a blast, had it at my home, got some backdrops and hung in our dinning room over the windows. They played Texas hold em til 3am.

A sno-ball fight is LOTS of fun for teenage boys.

We also do shaved ice visit to any kind of party.

That is a big deal!! Big birthday! What kind of party does he want?

If you have a pool, have a big pool party.

Our daughter LOVES parties and we have about 2 a year with DJ, caterer and the works. The kids love them. We've been throwing big parties since she turned 12 and she will be 15 in Dec.

We use Bill Cody's Party Time Productions for DJ service. Bill is a fantastic DJ, pretty well known in the area. Bill also has other entertainers.

Have fun!!

Funny but a lady i work with just went thru the same thing with her 19 yr old daughter. Seh was a little surprised that she would even ask about a party. She told her she would do 'parties' only for school age kids and not meaning college. She also got to the root to see why they wanted a party. Silly but money was the main thing. The girl didnt want to fork over the money for her own party if mom would foot the bill. Mom opted to continue the big family dinner that they have always done. I would check on the reason for the want of the party. Is your son missing attention? Maybe he needs some old fashioned one on one time with you or is it like my friend, money. The family dinner is always good and pull out the old videos and photos. Have fun!

My husband and I have a DJ Service with lights. That might be fun. There are several testimonies on here and there are more plus pictures on our website at www.1stclassdjservice.net. Mamasource customers receive 10% off and birthdays are less than weddings. We can do it for $150.00 an hour. You can reach us through here, through the company email, ____@____.com, or call his cell Chad @ ###-###-####. Whatever you decide I hope it is a wonderful party. They grow up too fast.

we tend to have 2 parties every year (Fall/Spring) for bdays and client things... I use The Hamburger Man for catering and it is always a hit.

what fun...you have a son that thinks it is cool to have a mom!
so, tell him to pick a theme, make his guest list and might I suggest holding the party at a location that is fun for his age group...not sure of your location...but maybe a water park?
Just stock up on soday and be creative with the cake, bunches of chips and snack foods.
Have fun, he will appreciate whatever you do for him I am sure!

Paintball or laser tag.

Depends what he likes but.....
if some of your neighbors will participate, you could do an Amazing Race type thing. The kids can pair off (couples, maybe?) and go thru the neighborhood completing tasks (neighbors' choice?) & collecting their next clues, etc. If you keep the area small, they should be safe. We've also done a Survivor theme - lots of fun, but by son was younger at the time & Survivor was a trendier show then. ;)
Hope your son has a fabulous birthday!!!!!!
