14 Week Old Has Sweaty Palms and Feet

I don't particularly recall either of my children having sweaty palms & feet that young, but perhaps that's because they were both born in April & their early months were during summer, so I often didn't put shoes & socks on. However, I will say that both of my kids have inherited sweaty feet from my side of the family. My 5-year old often takes his shoes off in the car if we drive for more than about 30 minutes or so. Whenever I ask him why, he says that his feet are "hot". I've also noticed a similar problem with my daughter who is nearly 15 months. Even with just socks, her feet get quite warm & sweaty. I've never been overly concerned. On the other hand, you can always check with your daughter's pediatrician or even a family doctor to see what they say. If nothing else, it may give you some peace to have their insight. God bless!

My 12 week old son also has really sweaty hands and feet...though his hands are always in his mouth, and so maybe thats not sweat. If cold feet worry you, just put on some socks. I also noticed that his feet are sweatier if he's barefoot, for some strange reason. Ask your doc if you're really concerned, but I wouldnt worry.

Have you asked your pediatrician? I know that cotton socks are the worst for keeping your feet warm (especailly when they are prone to be sweaty), but I have never seen wool socks for kids--they always seem to be cotton. Maybe you could search for some or make some? Sorry--I don't have any other ideas for you.

Babies are like little sweat boxes. My son has had the cold feet thing. we told the pediatrician and he said don't worry about it because there cirulatory system is not fully developed yet. dress the baby with pyjamas that have footies in them or make sure you wrap her feet when she sleeps with the blanket.
