13Th Birthday Party in a Hurry

My daughter has her 13th birthday in one week. I have been ill and didn't get to plan as I usually do. Also, my health is bad right now and I can't do the "normal" things I usually could. Im exhausted and have no ideas. HELP!

What can I do next?

The Ocean Walk Movie Theater has a nice party room, so if there is a good movie, let her invite friends and go to the movie. You cn take a cake, etc., and they can eat while they watch the movie.

Terry,

There are a lot of little things you can do for your daughter's birthday to make it extra special. Have you thought about having a pizza and sundae party at your house, early evening and then Movie night?
Low key-little effort.
Having a birthday party at a hands on Pottery place would be another good idea, cater with a cake publix/sams, etc) and finger food and the girls can enjoy the evening making pottery.

T. first let me say I am sorry for your ill health and pray you feel better soon! Have you thought about a Spa Party? Basically, the girls give each other mani/pedis and bring over their makeup to do their faces up with. And of course at a Spa you don't ever eat a full meal, you have light snacks and fancy beverages. Well, this is just an idea.
Target has a dollar section that carries some nail polish and then the Dollar Store and Sally's would be another option.

Have fun celebrating your princess!

You can take them to Adventure Landing and do a party. It's easy - do it during the daytime and during the week when it's not too busy and crowded. the kids love it and you have no mess etc. to clean up - my daughter did this for her 13th birthday and loved it.

Or if that's too much let her pick several friends and go to dinner and a movie or have pizza and a movie at your house and then have an ice cream sundae bar where they build their own ice cream sundae's. Skip the cake and make it easy on yourself. I've done this as well and it was a huge success.

Best of luck - if I can help you with any other ideas let me know. I do Pampered Chef and so alot of these things I've either done or have known people who did things quick and simple.

Maybe you could take her shopping then let her have a slumber party. If you have enough funds, get some papmering items, junk food, and movies to entertain them through the night. Hope you feel better!

T.,
An inexpensive party would be a sleep over, letting them make homemade pizza and a movie. Maybe you could buy some different color nail polishes and they could do each other's fingers and toes. Maybe they could play a dvd trivia game to keep them busy, too. Of course alot of this would depend on how many girls you had in mind ! My daughter loved this as a young teen and I'm planning something similar for my granddaughter ,who lives with me ! Hope they have fun and you don't over do ! C. S.

What is your budget for the party?

How about a Spa party? I am a BeautiControl consultant and
do Spa parties. One of the first ones I did was a birthday party for a 14 year old, She invited a few of her friends and their moms over in their pajamas and I pampered them.
Hand and feet treatments, facials, relaxation. I do the work so you can relax. The girls loved it and have fun.
There is no charge or fee for my services which is one of the first questions most ask me. Since as you say you have been ill this may make it easier for you. If you are interested or you have any questions please feel free to contact me. B. D. ###-###-####
