I did a any kind of pasta that was small enough for them to chew. We also did shredded chicken, my hubby would poach it & then we shredded while hot and it would last a few days. With veggies you could always steam them until they are mushy and then give them. I think as long as the pieces are small you can try any food.

My kids all LOVED baked beans. I actually used Bush's and just rinsed them off so they were easier to eat as finger foods and less messy. Beans are great protein, but get ready for exciting diapers, though. We also gave them chicken - the rotisserie chickens are great and always moist enough for few teeth. Sweet potato chunks are tasty, sweet, and healthy for a veggie option. Use those Ziploc microwave steamer bags to get them perfectly soft, or steam them yourself. You can also cut them like fries and bake them for about 10 minutes. My kids all still love their sweet potato fries. One of my 3 liked peas. I just bought the Green Giant frozen box that has no sauce. All 3 loved steamed carrots. The petite baby ones (the very smallest ones, bagged) are fun finger foods. Of course, let all the stuff cool to about room temperature. Wagon wheel shaped pasta was a huge hit for my twins when they were between 10 & 12 months. Sometimes I put a little parmesan cheese on just to get them to eat more. Also, shredded cheeses are great - the thicker shreds, not the fancy cut. If you want to add more meat, you can always try the lowest sodium hearty soups. My kids always liked the beef, carrots, and potatoes, but I think even the reduced sodium ones taste very salty. You can make your own in a crock pot and really control the sodium, too, and it's a great way to make a variety of veggies & meats at once. My kids were all closer to 18 months before they really ate burgers, though. Good luck & have fun with your food!

At 12 months old my son had 0 teeth, but was eating pretty much all "people food." He loved steamed carrots and pretty much all canned veggies and fruit. How about fruit-Bananas, watermelon, cantulope? Toasted cheese sand., string cheese, noodles, lunch meat, chicken...all ripped into small pieces. Keep trying different things and she'll find stuff she likes. My son was completely off baby food by 9 months...again he had no teeth and the more we offered him the more stuff he started to eat. Good Luck!

Hi There,
My son only has 4 teeth too. I brown ground turkey and give that to my son. I also give him scrambled eggs, veggie burgers and lentils (they are very easy to prepare myself). I'm big on giving him alot of protein, and lots of veggies. He's not feeling well, so tonight I made him some soup with chicken broth and all the fresh veggies I had in the house. I also like to mix in yogurt whenever I can for an added calcium boost and for its probiotics (great for intestinal health).

Bon Appetit!

Good Morning Ladies!!

My 15mos old pork butt has been eating real big people food for awhile now. He has a mouth full of teeth and uses them well. Just ask my 8yr old.. lol.

I have to ask though.. what the heck is a toasted cheese samich? It isn't a grilled cheese? The baby loves garlic noodles.. which is just cooked noodles (not spaghetti) unles you enjoy picking it off the walls after he flings it acorss the kitchen) with parmasian cheese a lil butter and garlic powder. I also will add steamed broccoli, its delicious.

My lil guy also can consume a whole double cheeseburger from McD's too!! Though we don't do that often.

You have alot of ideas... good luck. Keep us posted!
