11 Year Old Daughter

Perhaps it may be worth a trip to the doctor. As my experience as a nurse tells me, she is exhibiting possible symtpoms of a urinary problem. If you have not already done so, have her increase her fluids until she is examined by a doctor, no caffeine. There are over the counter products that may help if she has burning or stinging, but if it is a urinary tract infection these products wont get rid of the infection, however antibiotics will.

She might have a uti? I've had one a couple of times, and it's really uncomfortable, and the urge to pee is intense, but nothing happens. Is your daughter drinking enough water? With the recent change in weather and the heat here in general, and dehydration can do funny things to the body. If her condition persists, I would take her to the doctor, eliminating waste from the body shouldn't be taken lightly. Good luck:)

Sensations of needing to urinate may have nothing to do with her impeding menstrual maturity. Her period may be first on your mind...but it may or may not be the issue here.
I had my first urinary tract infection about 12...urgency can be a part of it. I would be concerned that nothing is coming out....is she going at all, anytime?? We all have to pee!
I have heard some disturbing stuff about girls and women and too much trampoline time can damage the pelvic floor...( or even more extreme....sky diving). Apparently we are not designed for repeated impacts like that. Just an idea.

With all the responses here that I see. When I first read your response thats what came to mind is a uti. That is a sure sign of it. I began my period when I was 12 it just came no side effects or nothing. So I think your daughter has uti. Take her to the doctor.

Sounds like a bladder infection to me. You may want to have your pediatrician check on that

I'd set up an appt. w/the doctor. She could be starting to get a bladder or urinary tract infection.

The other possibility, which doesn't necessarily make you feel like you need to pee, but rather that your panties are wet, is her hormones kicking in, causing a heavy discharge. I would consider taking her to an OB/GYN just to rule out anything.

Not sure, but could it be a UTI?? Urinary Tract Infection?? I would start giving her Cranberry Juice immediately and get her in to see the doctor ASAP. Good Luck

It sounds to me like she has a UTI (urinary tract infection). Take her to the doctor to get her started on antibiotics. In the meantime, you can get her an over-the-counter remedy that will give her some relief until she can get to the doctor.
