10Th Anniversary Ideas for My Husband

My tenth anniversary is coming up and I am looking for ideas (both gift and something special to do) for my husband. So many ideas that I see are really pretty "girlie"- something that a woman would really appreciate, but not necessarily a man (or at least my husband). Any ideas? Thanks so much!!

What can I do next?

If he is a sports fan there is nothing bettter than a Bears game. If he is a Bear fan you can step it up a notch and go to an out of town game. My husband would flip for tickets out of town. If you like this idea email me and I will give you some great suggestions. Good luck and congratulations....

Congrats, I have been with my highschool honey for 11years. Growing up in the city I took it for granted, now that we live out in the burbs I miss the city nightlife. There is second-city, blue-man, a number of things to do, and the resturants are endless. You can google just about anything. The dinner cruises are really nice too, very romantic. If you were going to go with the hotel thing, look up specials at that hotel. Sometimes they have last minute roomrate deals, I know the Drake does. It was less than $100 for a beautiful room, with a wonderful view. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Is he a sports fan? Step it up a notch past normal and get prime seating for the Bulls (center court, just a few rows up from the floor), Cubs or Sox behind home plate, or something of the sort. For my husband's first father's day, I really wanted to do something special 'from his son' so I ended up getting him Bulls season tickets, since it is something he always wanted since high school. He was totally surprised and unbelievably happy!

How about something for both of you? A night at the Sybarus can do wonders for a couple living the day to day grind. I secretly planned this for my husband's birthday, I took my husband to dinner and then took him there. He was shocked but so impressed and we had fun. I had it all planned out, champagne on ice, grandma to babysit, and we had a wonderful time just being with eachother and enjoying the romance. It was truly a gift for both of us and I want to do it for our anniversary as well.

Hi K.,

Congrats! That's great.

Men are hard to buy for. If he is competitive and a sports fan you may want to get him a set of "bags". It sounds cheesy, but I got a custom set of bags for my husband for our one year and everyone thought it was the coolest gift. I had the Cubs logo on one and the Bears logo on the other. My husband, who is a very honest man when it comes to what he likes and dislikes, said it was one of the best gifts he had ever received. If you are interested in the name of the guys who customizes the boards, just shoot me an email and I'll send it your way.

Good luck and I'm sure no matter what you pick it will be perfect :-)

Hi K.:
First congratulations on your 10th!
One would be if you spent a night at a resort (like Eaglewood) they usually have something like a romantic package(I think it is about $200) ....they serve champagne, strawberry dipped chocolate and a couple's massage for two..half an hour...I know 'coz I gave this as a gift to a very dear friend for their anniversary and they loved it. Oh and have your inlaws babysit!
The second option would be to give your husband a golf pass..that is if he loves to golf. Hope this helps.

Hi K.,

Congratulations on your upcoming 10th anniversary! If your husband is anything like my husband, the best present to get for him is lingerie for yourself! My suggestion is to have someone watch the kids for the whole night, go out to a nice dinner and stay at a nice hotel for the night. Of course if you really want to get him an actual gift, maybe a nice watch with something engraved?

Have fun!

I just "gave" my husband a hunting trip for his birthday. It is not something we do together, but he really wanted to go and we are having another baby and would not have been able to leave me and the kids. So I set it up that my parents are taking the older girls for the weekend so he can go.
